If you love Terminator 2, you will love the steelbook edition. As both a collector and fan of Steelbook editions, you will want this one in your collection.

You can tell James Cameron took care in making sure the movie looked as great as it should. The only way the movie can be any better is watching it in theater again.

Great 4K transfer!!! Not grainy good sound, originally mastered in THX although it’s not THX 4K but still good quality sound!!! Great classic movie sharp picture quality!!

Everything that has been said about T2 has been said, especially nearly 30 years of hindsight. I can't add anything more about the story and it's themes, it's top notch technical attributes, amongst everything else. But I can add my 2 cents about the disc(s) in question. James Cameron had wanted to release a 3D version in theatres in honor of the film's 25th anniversary, and, of course, he is a huge proponent of 3D, having directed Avatar to great critical and commercial fame and a resurgence of 3D and the re-release of Titanic in 3D in 2012 for it's 15th anniversary, its a no-brainer he'd go back to his best film and give it a 4k and 3d remaster. Unfortunately, the release was delayed by a full year and also wasn't marketed enough or released in enough theaters to recoup costs here in the states. But, luckily enough, Lionsgate managed to release a 4k release here (sad the 3D release wasn't released here in the states, but can be had from Europe for those with region-free players or spend about $40 to nab a region A release from Korea) with the brand new 4k remaster and some other CGI tinkering to fix some errors in the film. Unfortunately, what worked for the 3D version outright bombs here in 4k. The film is scrubbed virtually clean of film grain and it adds a waxy look to everything in the film, as if it was shot on digital gear. There is some fine details not noticed on BluRay or DVD, but this is a fairly sad picture, reminiscent of the first 2 BluRays from 2006 and 2009, respectively (for my opinion, the 2015 BluRay remains the best version to date, with accurate grain, details, and colors). Colors also have been tweaked to a noticeable degree, but it's still not as bad as the DNR (DIGITAL NOISE REDUCTION). The audio though? The DTS-X track is a killer soundtrack, with enough punch to go through brick wall with the strength of an atom bomb. Discrete, sharp and loud surround support, with enough satisfaction in the low-end to cause a foundation to crumble. It's good stuff Extras are not found on the 4k disc itself (Which Lionsgate has corrected since then, with nearly every 4k disc having most or all the extras on the UHD, which is something most studios still don't do!) but the included BluRay (the dreaded Skynet Edition from 2009) contains the 3 cuts of the film, commentaries, featurettes, and more on the disc. It's good stuff, but nothing new added since 2003(!) and it's a huge disappointment that they couldn't scrounge a retrospective from cast and crew. All in all, this is a poor release, with poor picture and extras, with the only plus being the terrific audio soundtrack on the 4k disc (the 5.1 DTS-HD track on the BluRay is also quite good, but the added height channels make it amazing) and the old extras included on the aging BluRay. Only get on sale for less than $10. It's that bad.

Terminator 2 is one of the very best action sequels ever made. Seeing it in 4K takes it up a notch. Great price too.

One of the best movies ever with a stunning steelbook case. Sold. I hope terminator 1, terminator 3 and terminator 4 get similar treatments to make it a matching set. At least terminator 1

Grew up watching this movie. Owned the vhs, dvd, Blu-ray, and now in 4K. Being able to see this in 4K and seeing all the tiny details makes it even more amazing. Must own if you have an OLED tv!

They have done a great job remastering this film in 4k. he picture has never been better. I must have seen this movie a dozen times growing up and now that it is in 4k I am noticing all kinds of details I missed from the DVD.

I love this movie. The original was before my time but I think this one is my favorite out of all franchise. Keep making new movies and one day it might be better than this one. I hope.

T2 is one if the best action movies of the 90s and I remember being obsessed with Terminator as a kid, so I'm glad to own this on bluray and to have another awesome looking steelbook in the collection.

Movie is amazing and looks better than movies made today. The visuals hold up. The scene where Arnold jumps the Harley has been fixed. You can no longer see the stuntman.

I did not need to buy a new copy of this movie but the case and sleeve were just too good to pass up.

Love the way the box slip cover artwork reveals the terminator T-800 when removed. Nice steelbook and the film looks great in 4K.

Sadly, this is the same faulty transfer as the previous one - for those unaware, StudioCanal mistakenly released one half of the 3D conversation (hence all the digital noise reduction) rather than the native 4K remaster, so when they claim it's "approved by James Cameron", it's really only a half-truth - but if they ever finally admit their error and release the real 4K edition, this will be the perfect package to swap the discs into, as Lionsgate continues delivering incredible steelbook designs. Occasional rubbery visuals aside, color and contrast are looking better than on past Blu-rays, most evident when one plays the extended edition and witnesses the change of quality.

Purchased this last month and was finally able to watch it in 4K. It looks incredible! I recommend watching it in 4K if you haven’t watched it in a while. Quality is amazing.

OK If you go to the menu, where it will say "Play Theatrical Version" and "Play Special Edition", using your remote control, type in (you may have to press enter in-between each number) 82997 (that's EIGHT TWO NINE NINE SEVEN). Then the "Play Special Edition" option will change to "Play Extended Special Edition" and you get two more added scenes. One where the T-1000 searches John Connor's room, and a different ending set in the future!

Yes the same terrible transfer from the last 4k release is on here but the steelbooks is 100% worth it probably one of the best steelbooks of 2021

It's just one of the best action movies. The plotting is so straightforward and tight, and every beat flows beautifully into the next. Most of the effects still hold up today.
