Not the best of the terminator movies but top three.

Classic terminator movie with a couple good twists

I didn't like the twist in storyline from the original Terminator movie. John Connor is the savior of the human race & not the exterminator. The only reason I gave this 2 star is because of the effects.

I saw all of the terminators and loved them all. But, this one just did't do it for me. It was way too predictable . I fell asleep half way threw it. I hope this is the last of them .

This movie has the action, but no substance. Besides there is way to much stuff going on for your typical action movie in this one. For die hard Terminator fans only.

Not great but I had to have it to complete the series and the price couldn't be beat.

If you like Terminator movies, then watch this movie, but it's not even close to being as good as the first two Terminator movies

Terrible entry in the franchise. I previously thought T3 was the worst. After seeing this confusing, jumbled mess, of a film, I’m unsure which is worse.

What a terrible addition to the Terminator franchise. This movie is just that bad. I would recommend renting this one. I already gave my copy away!

Some of the worst acting ever on screen. Sorry, always liked the Terminator franchise but this was a dud.

They need to start making these movies already. This franchise Has turned into a joke.

Both of us fell asleep during this movie. It wasn't interesting at all.

"The Mother of Dragons" (Emilia Clarke) makes her way into Terminator Genisys as Sarah Connor, brining with her a similar strength & initiative. "Jack McClane, Jr" (Jai Courtney) as Kyle Reese serves well alongside her. So, casting was good and performances were more than fair (though J.K. Simmons' character, Det. O'Brien, felt unnecessary and random). Terminator Genisys plays off the premiss that the resistance and Skynet have sent their selected protector and terminator many more times since T1 & T2, in their battle to overcome the other for eternal dominance. The going back in time, time after again, has altered timelines. Yet, somehow just enough of the time differences are remembered—giving way for one final scenario and timeline to reach an end, where Skynet is no longer a threat to humanity. In retrospect, viewers may get lost in the time sequences but the logic is sound if you can follow it. Genisys barrels through the middle of the franchise and makes it's place on the timeline just after T2: Judgement Day—storming in like the machines it portrays, terminating T3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator Salvation as none existent. Unlike T1 & T2, Genisys squanders the likelihood of the Terminator series from moving forward with any other films. This, in essence, has brought the timeline/storyline to a final conclusion, where most likely fans had hoped that Genisys would have become the springboard for another film(s). On the other hand, T3 is the weakest film of them all. So, the interposition by Genisys isn't as emotionally disruptive as it could otherwise be for fans. Nonetheless, it's probably not what hardcore fanboys would have wanted or expected. Then there's Terminator Salvation, which is so stylistically different from the first 3 films that it works just fine as an independent film on an alternate timeline. Finally, Genisys brings the character twists between T1 & T2 (between protagonist & antagonist) full circle—and I'll leave it at that, as to not further spoil the movie ;-) The movie flows with humor, too …though one particular scene was reminiscent of an attempt to mimic a Guardians of the Galaxy segment, but was so completely out of character for the Terminator series that the attempted humor fell flat and awkward. So, even though Terminator Genisys doesn't fully meet expectations, it does wrap up the series in a fairly decent manner. And if you're wondering if you have to watch T1 & T2 to follow Genisys, "no." The movie does a pretty good job to reference its origins through dialogue. But don't get me wrong, Genisys was still fun to watch with plenty of throwbacks, action, humor & special effects to entertain viewers. My letter grade: B-

Usually, when you get to the fifth installment of a series...it gets stale. This movie impressed me! I love a movie that makes me watch it, the end credits roll and I feel "What the f&*k did I just watch? I need to see it again!!" This movie made me do just that. I was waiting to see what old Arnold was gonna do....but they took it in a believable way. Needless to say, I was more impressed than I thought I would be!
