Not my favorite of the series but still good christian bale does a great job

Terminator just isnt the same as the first and second.

Hmmmm! It's time to put the "Terminator" series to bed! Terminator #I - great for its' time. Terminator #2 - best of the bunch! The 'Director's Cut" of #2 - BETTER YET! I can watch over and over again. Terminator #3 - What? - but OK! The rest: Why? Terminator; Salvation: Could not fast forward thru this ridiculous movie fast enough!! As "Stan the man would say - "nuff said". Save your money, save your time and save your anger about this rendition of James Camerons' masterpiece. Don't watch it and for goodness sakes; don't pay for it. Rob

Not the greatest but kind of enjoyed the new twist

they could of done better. the whole premise was promising, the story was promising, the ending was kinda blah

We were very disappointed with this movie. We own all the other Terminator movies so we were excited to hear about this one. We watched about 15 mins hoping it would get better. Ended up fast forwarding the whole thing, stopping every now and then to see if it improved, it didn't. It was very poorly acted, with a very uninspired story line (if you could call it that) so disappointing.

This is an awful movie. The acting is poor and the overall story is bad.

This is a total rip off for a DVD at at $19.99+ I was expecting to purchase the DVD with directors cut but noticed the directors cut is only available on Blu-Ray!! On top of that the DVD version doesn't come with deleted scenes or extras, it ONLY contains the movie! Adding insult to injury the digital copy WILL NOT work with a Mac and iTunes!! I was eventually going to invest into a Blu-Ray player (possibly a PS3 since it has the Blu-Ray player) but if DVDs are going in a downward spiral like this one then It looks like I'll have to get a Blu-Ray player sooner than expected. I'll purchase the Blu-Ray version of this movie sometime in the future Note: The Directors cut Blu-Ray Version comes with a digital copy but the digital copy is filled with false hopes because it's only the Theatrical Version. Hint: Save yourself from yourself and go to your local Red Box and rent this action packed movie (non-directors cut) for $1.10

This review is of the Director's cut only. By now, you already know the story, this one takes place in 2018 in a post apocalyptic future where the machines are already wiping out the human race and John Conner begins to lead the resistance. (SPOILER ALERT) We also see the first "humanoid" terminators being developed by Skynet with a cool cameo by Arnold (until all his flesh is melted away). There are a few holes in the story like "how does a 100 foot tall machine sneak up on everybody in the middle of the desert in broad daylight?", but hey, who cares, just enjoy the action, it's a fun flick. The Video: A 1080P/VC-1 encode in a 2.40:1 aspect ratio. A beautiful, sharp transfer with good black levels and plenty of detail in the darker scenes. Daylight scenes are a bit washed out and a little grainy but give you the feeling of being very natural since this takes place in a post apocalyptic future. The Audio: DTS HD Master Audio 5.1. Wow! This is one awesome soundtrack. Crystal clear detail and localized dialogue and very, very loud. This one will rock your system and your house. You will believe you are there. Conclusion: If you just love the Terminator films like I do, then you'll love this one too. If you're picky about your films then you may have a different opinion.

Nothing in the franchise competes with T2: Judgement Day but this really isn't a bad movie. I thought the plot was pretty good and Christian Bale actually did a good job playing John Conner and Sam Worthington is an excellent actor and plays a Terminator superbly. I thought the story was pretty good as well. The acting is good. The sound is excellent and the picture for the most part is great as well. It is not the best in the series but for the price it is worth the purchase it definately is a movie you will watch over and over through the years.

terminator salvation was an ok movie, had great action pieces and stuff. but the plot wasnt as good as the original. it takes place after judgement day had happened. there were a lot of holes in the plot. but the bluray was good. had good picture. some seens were really grainy and others werent. dark scenes were the most grainy. the sound is amazing. this is one of the loudest movies i have ever heard. everything is clear and sounds great during action scenes.

the Terminator franchise gets back on the right track with TS. Bale, Worthington and the rest do a great job of bring tension and interest to the story. BluRay is a great vehicle for the amount of special effects and director's cut. Movie does succumb to a bit of T3 cheesiness in the end...but if you can move past that, this dvd is a great addition to any action lover's blu Ray library

A quality sequel from a modestly successful franchise. The acting was good, the story -palpable, and the effects amazing. Christian Bale does it again. A much better performance than his earlier Batman release, Bale shares the lead with a new anti hero and the feel is something like a quality western where one is forced to consider the classic ideals of good and evil/ right and wrong.

ever since the 1st terminator came out i've been waiting for one to take place after the nuclear set back. insane were the machines in this movie. i dont get what anyone was saying about it not being that great a movie. cant wait to watch it again actually. gotta love movies like this on theatre quallity sound and tv. i like my set up better then the movies. no rude people

Sam Worthington was awesome. He made the flick. He's my new hottie. He fit like a glass slipper to this plot & genre. If I have to listen to Christian Bale hasp out another line, I think I'll puke. Okay maybe I missed it but how did John's dad become a teenager in the future? Shouldn't he been an old man in the future if it was now the present? Oh well, that's Hollywood.
