Not a lot of 3D effects but still a good one!

So I've seen all the other Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies and of course wanted to see this one. I did enjoy it. The story line, the acting, the gore was pretty good. Wasn't real impressed with the 3D effects. Seemed there were only a few good times when anything really popped out at you. And NO, my tv was just fine. Even re-paired the glasses with the tv to see it that helped and it didn't. Still 4 stars.

    Gore Core

I LOVE the horror genre and am always looking for a good horror flick that scares audiences, doesn't just shock us with gore. This is definitely in the 'gore core' bucket as is the norm with so many horror movies coming out today. That being said, the fact that the Leatherface dynasty is continued is a huge plus for this movie. While being predictable at every turn, the movie does offer a welcomed new twist to the Chainsaw series. If you're a horror buff, check it out. If you're 13, get it for your sleep over. Otherwise move on to the next.

My husband loved this movie but it was hard for me to watch at times. It's a great movie if you like gore. I'm giving it a 4 because of my husband.

I've already watched this in theaters in 3D. One thing, the 3D wasn't even that great. There were barely any parts when something actually came out. Second of all, the plot didn't basically make since. And the timeline of the main girl "Heather" was off track, which I'm not going to tell because it would be a little spoiler. The dialogue was awful, and i was watching the reviews for it on youtube, talking about how bad it is, and also, "Leatherface" in the movie barely killed anyone, which most of them just got killed from different things. And, the only reason I bought this movie is because, I'm a fan of Leatherface, and the only reason I bought it on Bluray/Bluray 3D is because I, for some reason, wanted to make it feel extra special for me. There could've been better in the movie, and after all, they make another sequal to it after about 4 or 5 movie after making the original, so, in other words, they didn't think of the others before they made this one. If I were you, and you wanted to buy this, I'd buy it on a regular disc, not bluray.

A Texas Chainsaw film in 3D that picks up where the original left off should be a pretty fun ride for any horror fan, but unfortunately this one fails miserably. The film has no real focus and tends to meander. It also fails to deliver any truly scary moments. The actors are so bad that you care very little about the characters. Trey Songz in particular (not surprisingly) contributes nothing. This could have been a really cool movie, but the filmmakers seemed to lack any creativity or ambition.

It's been several years since the last Texas Chainsaw films, so Lionsgate resurrected the series from its. The results are shockingly shoddy. The acting is quite horrible, the makeup effects are terrible and the film just isn't scary at all, with weak kills and a script that often doesn't make any sense. The special features are solid, but that's about the only thing about the film that has any decent points.
