Not like students have a choice on what to get, but as far as calculators go, this is a good one. Powerful enough and relatively well built. Take care of it though, since many students seem to have experienced screen burns on theirs after a year or so of use.

This thing can math good. Of all the math boxes, this one maths the best. Used it for Linear Algebra and it worked wonders

Significantly more attractive version of the TI-84. Much slimmer and the screen is vivid and clear. Definitely worth the extra cost.
