A must for any Advanced Math Class

fancy calculator required for math SATs

Just playing around with the buttons brings up all kinds of interesting questions (what's a polynomial?). Of course, they all learn how to make the graphing feature make "pictures". Don't get an upgrade to color and games, stick with this "basic" model.

Calculus Requirement

It has worked great with what the instructor taught us to use it for. I only gave it a rating of average because I have no other knowledge of what it is capable of doing.

Great machine, but expensive for today's standards

However, the price of this item is still above $100 on average, and it does not even have a color screen! For the most part, its functions can be done by a smart phone, so I am not sure if Texas Instruments will be able to milk this cash cow much longer.
