A well-done action flick. The blu-ray reproduces the film well -- great color and sound, especially if you have a home theater setup. No need for 4K in my view -- not sure it would look much better given the extra cost, or that the gunshots would end up any louder. Interesting story line, really well-acted by all concerned. I recommend it, especially if you spot it on sale.

This movie checks all the box's. It plays like a thriller, with elements of mystery, action, drama, and humor. The Director and cast did a great job of blending an intriguing story with the sensitive subject of high-spectrum autism. Definitely check out the extra's, as they delve deeper into that subject. My wife does not usually enjoy action movies, but she too loved this movie.

This is one of the best movies I've seen in years. A very good plot a good back story leading up to the end. With some surprises along the way. The 4k HDR was really a great picture. I would have to say run don't walk to best buy to purchase this movie. One word of caution lots of gun battles not the best for young children. I would most definitely recommend this to a friend.

An autistic child is pushed to their limit by their parent and the end result is a brilliant accountant by day and an assassin by night. His accounting skills being too superb for his own well being causes The Accountant AKA Christian Wolf, to find himself not just looking into corporate books for missing money but, it exposes him to a deadly game of cat and mouse with would be assassins. Watch th stunning conclusion of this phenomenal film.

Synopsis: Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world's most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department's Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncook the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.

OMG?! Like 1st batman, now a developmentally disabled person with a sniper rifle?! is there anything Affleck CAN'T do?! No, but on a serious note, good movie, great plot twists, good acting, and cameo by Stan Lee was superb! you should count yourself lucky if you get to experience this non stop express of action bullet train! you're welcome America *Mic Drop*

This movie is very entertaining. I had low expectations for the movie however it crushed my expectations and turned out to be quite good. Ben Affleck really played his character well and the sound quality is great. There's a scene where he is firing a massive 50 cal rifle and the boom is just plain wicked sounding. Plus as a CPA, I enjoyed the jarring breaking of the accountant stereotype which this movie provides.

Really enjoyed this film. Good action. Thrilling moments. The character (whether a realistic depiction of a functional autistic or not) was a lot of fun to watch. Also enjoyed the interaction with his handler - very witty woman indeed. Also enjoyed the interaction between the two detectives who are tracking him. A little more to it than your typical good-guy-kicks-some-@$$ storyline. If you missed it in the theaters, check this one out.

AWESOME movie, this is my favorite Ben Affleck movie ever and i like Ben as an actor and even more so as a director. this movie has unique characters (mainly Ben's) and a one of a kind story that is extremely interesting in my opinion. good action sequences that ben really makes pop and look realistic. i could go on and on about how much i liked this movie. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone and everyone. Superb Movie

Good background story which leads into the main action points and, once it gets started, the story builds into the end. Interesting character study but you have to kind of wonder what the impact is against those with the mental disabilities portrayed in the film. And, as the story progresses near the end, you kind of figure out the relationship of the protagonists. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable with enough action to satisfy the viewer. The only addition to the film which would have made it better would have been a more fuller development of the character played by Anna Kendrick.

I was surprised that I liked this movie as much as I did. Ben Affleck, playing an autistic math savant accountant & expert sniper, does a great job Anna Kendrick does a decent job & as usual J.K. Simmons is excellent as a Treasury financial crimes agent tracking down someone they start calling The Accountant, who is involved with nefarious criminal elements based on evidence they have uncovered. Really enjoyed the movie.

This movie is about an autistic man who grew up with military training that fights crime, but also does the accounting for some bad guys. He is also rich, has a lot of "toys" and wears black. There are a few character twists and a mention of a certain Batman villain on a number of occasions. The accounting parts are short, nestled between the violence, so lulls in the action are not really an issue. At the same time the Treasury Department is after him for hiding money. There are a lot of interconnected moving parts that will require paying some attention to fully understand.

It's a mild thriller for most people. It's not an over the top action movie like most these days. Like a lot of other movies it's one man against many plus the main bad guy. Training an autistic person to be an assassin ain't a bad idea for a movie. Overall it offers good entertainment, Affleck does a good job at being deceptive about whom he really is. I'd buy this movie and add it to my action flick collection.

This film is very well done. It can be slow at times in comparison to many Hollywood "action" films today, but the film offers more through its story telling and characters. The film kind of follows a Tarantino approach using flash backs mixed in with the current storyline. Ben Affleck is amazing as he often is and Anna Kendrick was perfectly cast and gave a wonderful performance. Definitely recommend this one.

We really enjoyed this movie. A little odd at the start but it picked up quickly. Plenty of action and not hard to follow. This boy is a seriously good shot! It left a few questions unanswered (what happened to the girl) but it was fun to watch. The BluRay was well done and the video was top notch. The audio was very revealing and made good use of the surround channels. It is one that I would, and will, watch again.

I'm not a huge Ben Affleck fan, but the premise of this movie seemed so intriguing and a friend told me it was a good flick. So, I purchased the 4K version and hey! was I taken aback. A good mix of plot intrigue and action thriller. The 4K blu ray itself packs a punch. Listen for the part were he fires a .50 caliber sniper rifle, you're subwoofer (if you have one) will rattle your windows.

I liked the story outline of a boy who was autistic and his father an Army Colonel who raised both his sons "to be all you can be" and then some! The autistic boy becomes an accountant because he was off the scales with this ability... Ben Affleck plays the part to a "T" and the entire cast knocks it out of the park. I don't want to give anything away, so you can enjoy this movie... I did!

Wow this is one of Ben Affleck's best movies ever and should not be missed. Director Gavin O'Connor did a great job as well as the cast Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, and John Lithgow are all at the top of their craft. This movie is a must watch and buy and is right up there with Jason Bourne. Can't wait for part 2. All the action drama needed for a great movie night!!!

My wife and I saw this at the movie theatre and we both thought it was a great movie. It has plenty of action and keeps you guessing. It all comes together in the end and you will be left wanting to see a sequel. We thought the main character, THE ACCOUNTANT, was more exciting and interesting than characters like Jason Bourne or series like Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. Watch it, you won't be sorry.

I can't say enough about this movie. Buy it!!! Finally Ben Affleck is getting his act together and showing that he's as good as an actor as much as the popular action stars are today. Within the first 15 minutes of the movie it will pretty much grab you by the throat. Storyline is excellent and well-executed as far as action movies go you cannot go wrong with this one. Don't hesitate just buy it.
