Excellent movie with a great story line. It illustrates the power and potential of the human mind. There is the obvious plot an autistic CPA with OCD and a moral code. But the real story lies much deeper. Lots of nuances that might not be obvious the first time you see the movie. Throw in some action and shooting and you have a great movie. I rented it when it first came out, streamed it about a year ago. When the 4K UHD version was released got a copy as soon as I could. The video and surround sound are exceptional.

It is very unusual to find poignancy in an action movie, but The Accountant manages to do this in a very exciting manner. The action in this movie is fantastic, and if that were the only reason to watch no one would be disappointed. However, there are many underlying relationships that are explored in the movie, as much as can be done in a two-hour timeframe, between the different characters. There is father-son, brother-brother, a disenfranchised mother, and a love interest that can never be amongst others. So, if you are watching to see the formation of subtle relationships you wouldn't be disappointed either. The combination existing in this movie is fantastic. I watch a lot of movies, and this is in the top 10 of the last five years.

If you are looking for a thrill and suspense with some unknowns, this is for you

Not a fan of Ben Aflek, but saw a preview and made the decision to give it a chance. Was not disappointed, his acting was 8 or 9 out of 10, action was the same. Didn't expected to enjoy this film as much as I did, The cast was perfect, plot was great, script was clear, and i would love to see a sequel. No relation but some scenes remided me of Dexter, between his father and his children to protect them and teach them questionable skills to protect themself.

Good story. Good action scenes. Tries a bit too hard to be John Wick though.

I've been a fan of director Gavin O'Connor since Warrior, so I had a built in expectation that this movie would be good. Ben Affleck shines in this role and shows how versatile of an actor he is. The story is charged and intriguing while also providing great action sequences to keep you entertained throughout. The special features do make the blu ray worth the purchase if you're a big fan of looking behind the scenes of how movies are made. I would say this is a great add for anyone's collection, although I'm not entirely sure how often people will be rewatching the movie. This might be a once every year or every other year watch for most people.

If you are a guy and like a lot of fighting, you will love this movie

Honestly this is one of my favorites to just sit down and turn up to veg with. It has some great fight sequences and AMAZING sound. The bed layers of a surround system, and the subs get a real workout. The concussion of the 50 caliber rifle firing was so impactful! The addition of Jon Bernthal was an added treat. The 4K UHD was extremely sharp and detailed, with great contrast especially in the darker scenes. Catch this on a sale and you won’t be disappointed

Overlooked and under-marketed when the film debuted in 2016, the Accountant never got the attention it deserved. Starring a stellar cast led by Ben Affleck, with supporting roles by Anna Kendrick and J.J. Simmons, the Accountant is a well-paced crime/action drama. Affleck may not usually be included among grade A actors, but he demonstrates here an exceptional range playing an autistic CPA who has a heart of gold -- and the training to be a stealthy killer on the side of justice. In my opinion, forget Affleck as Batman -- I want to see him come back as the Accountant. Highly recommmended!

This is not a movie like a Beautiful Mind, portraying accountants as only number crunchers or mathematician types. Ben Affleck makes being an accountant seem like the best job in the world. Helping people keep their farms by assisting with their taxes, helping the little people succeed... Oh wait, people probably want to hear about the action, and the fighting that made this movie so enjoyable! I won't spoil the fun too much, but Ben does really well to be believable as an autistic, sharp shooting action star. It is a great ride, and an interesting story. Buy it, rent it, or stream it, but watch this movie!
