Sarah Michelle Gellar has been floundering around since the end of Buffy. She raked in some cash with Scoopy Doo. But finally she shows that there is a deeper side to the former vampire slayer. The Air I Breathe will not appeal to those who want pure visceral thrills. But if your taste is more toward films that make you think, then give this one a try. Forget about the All Movie Guide Review. This is a well constructed film with some deeper meaning. Plus Sarah Michelle proves that she can do more than pout. She still pouts a bit for those who like pouting, but there is a bit of depth to her performance. Love, Pleasure, Sorrow and Happiness. Those are some competing ideas in our culture. Perhaps pairs that don't need to be paired, but are, often. This film explores the modern view of these concepts with four separate interweaving stories. Well worth your time.
