Unless you are a major spiderman fan and feel you have to see this movie, don't bother. It was a waste of money and my time.

This movie is all over the place with to many characters and setting up future sequels hat never happened.

Too many storylines to follow. Just when you thought the climax of the film was done, another storyline began.

This is hands down the best superhero film ever made. Marc Webb spins a web of secrets and suspense to create a masterpiece that exceeds the expectations of the genre. The emotional depth portrayed by both Garfield and Stone and the entire cast shine. The intense action sequences are unmatched. The story is epic and breath-taking in scope. Back when it was released in theaters in 2014, I had a chance to see the film in IMAX 3D twice. The visual composition and color palette blew me away and it was the best experience and format to see this film in. There are many superhero films in the market right now and none can compete with The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Marc Webb captures a creative and complex story and shows it like no other can.

This film gets unwarranted hate. It's one of the better comic book films to come along in several years and certainly the best Spider-Man film to date. The tone is consistent with that of the original Raimi films. The jokes hit their marks, and the heart of the picture shines through. Electro is cornball greatness. His voice and presence on screen is overpowering and over the top. A visual treat indeed. Harry Osborn is the backbone of the film and the relationship with Peter and Gwen is possibly the best romance in a Comic book movie thus far. Their chemistry is the highlight of the film. If you had problems with the first Amazing Spider-man, I feel that you will like the second film better. Give it a shot. Don't let the hate sway you one way or another, just go in with an open mind, and you will enjoy yourself I'm sure of it! THIS IS SPIDER-MAN.

The biggest issue I see, is that they were so determined to set up the NEXT films, and the events for those, that they didn't spend any time tightening up and fine tuning the events and character development for THIS film. Electro had a lot of potential here, more than I would have thought based on his comic character. I was impressed (at times) by how well fleshed out he was. But then there were other times, where it felt like someone wrote "Electro is angry" and nobody bothered to write that any better or elaborate well. They just rushed that, and it really hurts the movie.

I'm a big fan of spiderman and I thought this movie was actually pretty great, although not as good as the original trilogy. Anyway I purchased the blu-ray that comes with the 3D and it was enjoyable to watch. I also enjoy the clear case for a change over the blue cases of normal blu-rays. The case is also STURDY and NOT an eco case which I hate so much. Although not an issue for me, something to point out is that there are only TWO disc holders for THREE discs so that means at least one disc holder contains 2 discs stacked together.

Like "The Amazing Spider-man" this follows along with the original series in having Gwen Stacy rather than Mary Jane as Peter's love interest. There are those who would say too many villains were brought into play, I would have to disagree. The way the villains were brought in was entirely appropriate for how the movie progressed. This go round with Spider-man has been much better than the series with Tobey Macguire.

So I have a theory about the Hollywood execs who make a good super hero movie that makes billions of dollars world wide and would seem to have an endless supply of money making ideas firing out of the studio one after another but then they release the next movie or the 3rd and 4th movies and they're just garbage. Why? The studio decision makers say "We need to out do the last one. How? Cast more star actors in it to play more main characters." WRONG! Stop throwing more characters into the movies. Just write a good story. It should be: Movie 1: Spider-Man v. Green Goblin Movie 2: Spider-Man v. Electro Movie 3: Spider-Man v. Doc Oct Movie 4: Spider-Man v. Lizard Movie 5: Spider-Man v. Venom Movie 6: Spider-Man v. the next bad guy, Carnage, Mysterio, HobGoblin, Vulture, etc. Just keep writing good scripts with good plots and the movie will take care of itself. Stop parlaying the bad guys and wasting them. This Spider-Man reboot sequel is just another domino in what will be another failing Spider-Man franchise. That being said.... If you just like to watch super hero movies, you'll enjoy this one too.

Best blue-ray, dvd case ever made! The Meg. Case. Short for Magnet I believe. (Also, I believe in Spiderman) I love the heavier weight, compact feel and the way it closes. Has a much more elegant and expensiveness about it. Is not cheep like the plastic cases and is better than the Metal Boxes. The art designs are very well done, lending a holographic look to the cover along with the fold up hero facing villain inside. Thanks, Best Buy! Spidey Forever

I am still a firm believer that we didn't need a reboot to Spider-man so quickly. I would have preferred to see a continuation of the previous Trilogy. That said, I still enjoyed this one as much as the first film and I am excited about the potential expansion of characters that are being setup for the next films!
