In Hollywood's quest to milk the moviegoer for what they can, reboots, revisions, and disappointing sequels abound. I am a fan of the first two Sam Raimi film's (the third was a little flat, in my opinion) and this movie didn't even come close. While Tobey did a great job of portraying Peter Parker and Spider-Man, Andrew didn't even come close. When the kid opens his mouth, it looks like he can engulf watermelons! Jim Carrey, be wary! His nervous twitches and awkward movements aren't what I see when I read about shy Peter Parker. The kid was shy, nervous, and intelligent, not suffering from caffeine/cigarette withdrawals.... When filmmakers state they are huge fans of the comics, I always wonder why the films are so much less. Essentially, you can skip most of the movie and watch the animated action sequences and get the gist of the film. I was actually more entertained watching the special features than the film itself. I'd recommend this only if you can find it for $5 in the cheapie movie bins.

Movie was pretty good. The storyline was easy to follow even if you don't know the Spiderman saga.

Pretty good movie, but lost momentum with the lizard. Other than that a good popcorn flick.

We bought the series for the grand kids, but we found them somewhat interesting.

I was a fan of the original spider mans so when I got this I was hoping it was as good. It wasn't.

I love comics movies, but not the character of Spiderman, i still gave it a chance and i liked it.

Excellent movie with mediocre 3D...the 3D really picks up in the battle scenes.

Movie is a little dark for kids. Be warned. Had to explain a lot about death to my kid.

Original Toby McGuire was the best Spiderman, but this was just ok.

Action oriented movie. Totally forgot what little plot there was in it.

I bought this for my mother who liked the second movie for some reason and she seemed to like it. I, on the other hand, didn't really enjoy it as it retread an origin that everyone knows. However, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone have really great chemistry and Garfield makes an even better Spidey than Tobey Maguire.

The movie was enjoyable but I think the 3d was not as good as it could have been.

Bought just to have the collection. The movie it self is good. Watchable.

A decent movie, but goes back over the origin story that everyone knows.
