This is a well put together story with fantastic acting.

A good movie but tough to follow. It had too much going on in the movie. And Leo is always a good actor too! I think it take a second time to get into the movie and view it differently then the first time watching in through.

Mr. Hughes was eccentric to say the least. Leo is amazing in almost any role.

This movie is about the legendary Howard Hughes, who was both a filmmaker and an aviator, to which he valued most. Leonardo DiCaprio does a fantastic job portraying him in the film, and i have no idea why he didn't win an oscar for this because he should have. Also Martin Scorsese does another fantastic job at what he does best, directing. This film also has great performanes by Cate Blanchett( who did win a well deserved oscar), Kate Beckinsale, and Alec Baldwin. I would recommend this film to anyone who is a fan of great filmmaking. This dvd also boasts great special features, including an HBO documentary on the life of Howard Hughes, and the video and audio are perfect. There is no reason to not watch this film, it is perfect.

This is an interesting film about the life and times of aviation pioneer and film maker Howard Hughes. It also chronicles his psychotic melt down that came as a result of his obsessive compulsive disorder. The acting and direction are both quite powerful and make for a great movie that is both entertaining and thought provoking. The style of cinematography changes with various scenes in the movie to compliment the scene and give a nod to older styles of film making, which I found very interesting.

Just a well thought out picture about Howard Hughes' younger years. He was an amazing man with great insight into the future and a desire to improve aviation. The supporting actors/actresses do an unbelievable job. Alan Alda did a really great job as a politician. Its too bad Hughes didn't take better care of himself. Worth watching several times, if you have the time. It is a long one, but it helps to develop the completeness of the story. The ending is very good as well.

The story of life of Howard Huges portraying his extraordinary combiation of elements like: aviator, film maker, AAA+ womanizer, obsessive, rich and famous, rich and powerful, and finally crippled and hooked on medication. If you like movies about the history of airplanes and you like money you will probably really like at least many parts of this movie.

I enjoyed viewing this film. Adding a second DVD helped the viewer understand film producer's intent. The discussion of obsessive compulsive disorder was personally helpful. Producing a film and performing as an actor, is hard work.
