Excellent movie. Most of the story is set at night time, so expect dark scenes with low lighting. The picture quality however is amazing, with stunning black and orange colored scenes, it gives a warm, Halloween-ish vibe. The soundtrack is also amazing, with the musical score done by Michael Giacchino. Great movie. It does have violence, so it is meant for kids.

I had my doubts before seeing the first of this most recent of the "Batman" franchises, but it definitely has some outstanding moments, along with slowly maturing and developing young Bruce Wayne/Batman. The audio and video are first rate. You'll develop a greater appreciation of this film with multiple viewings. Definitely recommended.

Even if you don't love The Batman as much as I do, you owe it to yourself to buy it on 4K Blu-ray if you're even mildly interested in A/V quality. This is maybe the best looking and sounding blockbuster-budgeted movie since Mad Max: Fury Road. I need to stop myself or I'll keep writing for 15 minutes. A must own.

Good quality 4k disc, hdr makes the real difference here. Not quite "reference quality" due in large part to the intentionally blurry cinematography. I watched this on a TCL 6 series mini led tv with local dimming on high and encountered odd sort of blooming during very dark scenes with flashlights/headlights (which happens a lot in this movie). That's something I can't say I've experienced with any other Blu-ray, 4k or otherwise on this TV. An OLED may fair better.

Good film, but a little too dark and slow for my liking. This doesn’t feel like a continuation of many other great Batman films.

The Blu-Ray and 4K versions of the film both look and sound exceptional. The only disappointment is that there isn’t a commentary track but the nine featurettes and the nearly hour long making of film does provide plenty of background and trivia on the making of the film. Reeves reboot of Batman does the job admirably. Although the film runs too long, it does have some terrific set pieces and performances from the marvelous supporting cast including Andy Serkis as Alfred and Jeffrey Wright as Gordon.

This is easily my favorite BatMan movie, it is how i have always imagined a real BatMan stroy would be. The grime and grit, investigating, matching wits with the villain, dark and dirty, a lone hero that uses the dark to conquer the evil that lives in the dark. This was a Pre-Order on day 1 and I am happier just having it.

The best Batman since the Christopher Nolan films. Robert Pattinson as Batman is truly amazing, surprised the hell out of me if I’m being honest. But as Bruce Wayne, needs a lot of work. The 4K is phenomenal thanks to both director Matt Reeves and cinematographer Greig Fraser (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story)

Robert Pattinson surprisingly does a fairly decent performance as the Batman in his early years. The soundtrack of this 4K movie is awesome if you have a dolby atmos system with good subwoofers. The Batmobile rumbles and roars like a champ. This is a very dark movie, so your best viewing experience will be in a darkened room.

Movie is ok, not as bad as the George Clooney version. Nothing will ever top The Dark Knight trilogy.

This is a more washed up and realistic version of Batman fighting crime in Gotham City. The Penguin is just a racketeering mobster and the Riddler is just a down to earth city bomber that only wants to uncover the corruption that has poisoned the top officials in the city.

    A Darker, Grittier Batman Entry

Save for the animated films, which are absolutely worth watching, this is easily the grittiest Batman portrayal in a movie so far. I only wish they kept to a more realistic/believable approach throughout the film, but there are some moments that are so silly it kind of took me out of the immersion. Also the emo look of Batman was a bit much when paired with what I felt was an out-of-place Nirvana track.

I want to say first off that The Batman is a production of cinemamatic accomplishment. Good cinematography. Fine design details and sets. The story is decent as well. Acting is on la level of quality believability. But, I give it 4 stars because of the pervasive dark mood, the constant night in every scene. Even a daytime scene is under-lighted. Yet, I enjoyed the film. Batman is a true detective in it. No doubt.

Next to Nolan’s Batman Trilogy, this would be the next best thing. I loved the horror element of it. Darkness should be feared when there is a masked vigilante around. I would say it’s a slow burner and a little bloated, but worth the time. 4k makes the darkness pop. Buy it!

Absolutely great 4k transfer! I love this movie in this format. I actually enjoyed watching it at home better than the movie theater. Many of the scenes were clearer and the atmos audio had my subs working hard. This is a must have and one of the best 4k releases of the year!

Interesting take on the Batman mythos. Patterson was actually good as Bruce Wayne/Batman but wrong choice for Alfred. Good story and the 4k transfer is dark and murky and that's a good thing because you can see every raindrop and bits of grime in every scene.

So glad this particular Batman will continue. Excellent movie and no issues with the discs. The inclusion of a digital code is great! Gives me the best of both worlds: physical media copy with a nice slipcover; and, digital copy for on-line streaming.

Been a Batman fan since the 1989 Movie. I have to say that this combines a lot of what I liked from the Nolan and Burton Eras. Picture looks great on 4K. Sound is very good and atmospheric. Can't wait to see what they come up with, if they ever get around to making a second one.
