One of the best Batman films. It is rivaled only by Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight. What's great about this Batman story is that it's more of a detective story. Batman feels true to the character without being overly grim dark and edgy like the Zack Snyder version. There are fantastic performances especially by Collin Farrell as the Penguin. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing more of Robert Pattinson in the role. The actual visual quality of the movie is great thanks to its inclusion of Dolby Vision. You can make out all the fine details in the costumes and sets thanks to it. It lets you appreciate the cinematography more. Dolby Atmos audio mix is also great. This is especially evident during the Batmobile action scene.

Good flick. A little slow at times but Robert Patterson carried the movie. He's a top 5 batmen.

Very pleased to see how well this movie plays at home, especially in 4K. By comparison, the Dark Knight Trilogy looked great buy had issues with its sound, making it where I constantly had to turn the sound up and down. The sound of The Batman on disc was balanced much better and didn't require any such adjustments. Picture quality is outstanding as well, so rich in detail and the HDR really highlights light sources naturally with great, natural contrast against dark spaces and shadows. Film itself is great too, evoking the strongest sense of atmosphere and presence since Burton's Batman films. Highly recommended.

Who knew the Batmobile was a baritone? This a genuine treat for any collection.

A good action film but not a normal Batman movie. Looks good on 4k!

The Batman gave me a few concerns. Both as a movie and with the 4k transfer. Fortunately both pass with flying colors. Robert Pattinson being cast made me skeptical, but he holds his own and does fine. Overall, it's a much different albeit welcome take from Batman's previous escapades. Catwoman and Riddler are amazing and the overall tone is gripping and tense. Now as for the 4k transfer. This is a very long movie. Fortunately, they opted for a 100gb disc which means plenty of space for the encoding with pretty much zero compression. That means optimal quality that the movie deserves. A fine movie and 4k offering

Very little needs to be said regarding the iconic character, The Batman. Director Matt Reeves (Planet of the Apes) take his visionary storytelling and gives us a fresh new take on the Batman for cinema. Bring in the neo noir element that many of its predecessors lack. The story brings us to Batman’s 2nd year as the Cape Cruisader. Find ways to deal with his great lost. While intrucing the Gotham city and its many fascets of the corrupt city. Introducing charcters like The Penguin, Lt. Jim Gordon, Falcone and many other well known underground mob bosses. Definitely a film I’ve personally enjoyed.

As a lifelong Batman fan, I always worry when someone new dons the Cape and Cowl. I realized my worries were unnecessary about 45 seconds into the movie. Batman and his new world are in the very capable hands of writer/director Matt Reeves, Robert Pattinson, and company. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my family. Anyone who doesn't need a joke every 10 minutes to enjoy a comic book based movie will appreciate this film. Batman, the character, not Bruce Wayne, has more on screen time than in any other Batman film to date. Great film!!!
