It's pretty good, with nice new ideas nicely implemented, but some plot holes are hard to swallow. Fly__g R_t a Pig__n?! Greatest World detective indeeed...

We've certainly gotten plenty of cinematic interpretations of Batman over the years, but The Batman still manages to stand out and provide something new while also paying homage to other versions before it. This is a fantastic detective story with interesting reimaginings of iconic characters. The performances, cinematography, action and set designs are all on point here, and it all combines for a fascinating atmosphere to kick off a new continuity that I'm incredibly excited to see even more of in the years to come. The stellbook is also exceptional, as the black and red designs are visually striking. I also love that it's a matte design instead of gloss, as that's much less susceptible to fingerprints smudging the steelbook when you're handling it.

Not without its flaws, but finally a Batman movie that focuses more on a cerebral villain to counter than some blunt "smash-up" villain. A character that came out of a series called Detective Comics, and only now do we have detective work finally front and center? A bit embarrassing. Batman doesn't have super-human abilities, he's rich, and is pretty adept at utilizing his intuition for deductive reasoning; this movie showcases that and the consequences. There is a "flying squirrel" sequence that might pull you out of the movie a bit, poorly handled sequence. This particular steelbook has some clever visuals. Most fun I've had with a Batman movie since Batman Returns.

This movie, based on unfamiliar comics for the common public is a very interesting twist from the current image Batman has. It explores the man behind the cowl, with his doubts and his secrets. In his early days, and has depicted nicely in the movie, he is just a man who is trying to find a new path to justice in a corrupted city. The film, with a very dark ambiance, does a good job showing that on screen but for people interested in the psychology of the batman, this is also a nice introduction to this. I still recommend to read Batman Ego and year One as these 2 comics are essential for old and new batman fans to understand the conflicted man with his multiple identities. This steelbook edition is absolutely stunning and the bonus featured extensive. Highly recommended.

I loved seeing The Batman in theaters and I couldn't wait to own it on video. When I learned that Best Buy had this exclusive, I immediately pre-ordered it! I loved the movie for its depiction of Gotham City. It felt like the director read the comics and played the Arkham City games and projected those versions onto the big screen. And I had reservations about Pattinson being Batman but he really performed as a still new Batman that was learning about himself and trust. The steelbook of The Batman is placed next to the steelbook edition of Joker on my shelf. This is a highlight for anyone who collects steelbooks.

This is not your daddy’s Batman. This is a dark gritty, violent detective noir. Batman should be scary and feared. The cast is incredible, and direction top notch. It does move at a slow even pace, with bursts of violence. The film is not perfect, but then neither was the Dark Knight. The discs which there are three, 4K, Blu-ray, and special features. The special features disc has plenty to enjoy, with short making of segments. Also has an hour long documentary. This requires repeated viewings to catch all the details. I hope they make a trilogy with same director and writers. Otherwise this could end up like Star Trek. Buy the steelbook while you can, it’s awesome.

In all honesty, I was not at all that excited about the prospect of yet another Batman film franchise reboot. The actor cast in the lead role seemed like an odd choice at best. I did the near-impossible in this day and age... and avoided any and all spoilers about this film until I decided whether or not I would sit down and watch it. Thanks to HBO Max, I got that opportunity. I was pleasantly surprised with everything about this film! The cast was magnificent, the story was engaging, and I found myself actively trying to piece together the clues and solve the riddle therein! I look forward to the sequel with cautious, yet somewhat hopeful optimism.

The Batman is a fantastic film. This movie really explores batman in a very different way. Robert Pattinson does a phenomenal job as the caped crusader, so much so that when you look at batman, you also see Bruce Wayne and his inner torment and darkness lurking within. The scenes with Bruce without the suit interacting and Alfred were very effective and powerful. All the characters are true to what they are supposed to be like. All the actors which include Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Collin Farrell, Paul Dano do an excellent job at helming these iconic characters.

When you've manage to raise the bar that Nolan set. The storyline, acting, action sequences & directing are no easy feat. What Matt Reeves, Robert Pattinson & crew have pulled off here is quite execeptional. They managed to make Gotham gritty and dreary but shot it in a hypnotic way that draws the viewer in. Imagine being engaged in a page turning comic book, where the mystery intrigues your brain into turning the next page since you don't quite know what will happen next. Very well done! Eye makeup finally shown after decades under a cowl & BatMobile aggressive enough to engage in a crash car derby.

not my favorite Batman of all time but it was a lot better than expected

I initially started watching this movie on HBO Max. I don't know why, but it was almost impossible to hear on my TV so I switched to my Pc and used headphones. I loved the movie, but wanted to be able to watch it on my big screen tv. After weeks of waiting, I was finally able to order the 4k Ultra HD SteelBook. This is oe of the most interesting SteelBooks I have in my collection, love the artwork. I watched it immediately after bringing it home and it was incredible. Physical discs are much better in my opinion than digital copies and this one did not disappoint. 5 stars.

One favorite steelbook case and movie is my favorite batman movie.
