Big Bang Theory is a wet-your-pants funny show, especially if you're into geek culture. Expect episodes to contain several clever references or shout-outs to video games, comic books, famous scientists, authors, and more. Even if you're not a veteran of all that is nerdy, the show often lets its viewers in on the more obscure references, usually in the form of the main characters explaining something to a non-geek. The show follows three young scientists (and their blond neighbor), detailing their struggles in their social, romantic, and professional lives. All of the characters are very distinct, and you'll quickly find yourself loving (or loving to hate) each one of them. The writing is snappy and the punchlines are well-timed. It tends to avoid lowbrow humor, though that doesn't mean the naughtier subjects are never tackled. I was hooked after just one episode, and frankly, if you don't find this series funny then you must have something in common with Sheldon Cooper (the antagonist of the show).

Our family loves this show but we came into it late. We missed out on the first two seasons and wanted to catch up. My husband is a nerd and I'm kind of nerdy myself. We find that some of the humor hits close to home, but we can laugh at ourselves and usually are laughing hysterically while watching the show. We love all the characters and are constantly amazed at how the actors make them believable. A little more adult humor than is necessary. For the most part the language is okay, but occasionally they throw out a word or two that seem a bit crude. I think they could get the message across without being quite so "to the point". My kids like to watch the show, but occasionally it's a bit embarassing with some of the comments. It's still better than most of the junk on TV today. Wouldn't recommend this show for little kids. Younger kids wouldn't understand half of the dialogue (too nerdy, i.e. large words and scientific terminology) and wouldn't need to hear the occasional crude reference. Other than that it is a really funny show.

I love this show. I must admit, I am a nerd at heart and love that this show is all about four nerdy friends and their blond neighbor. This show is heavy on the math, science and comic book references/jokes but I know many of my non-nerd friends love it as well. The characters, especially Sheldon, are just so bizarre and hilarious that you can't help but laugh. If you haven't watched this show yet I suggest you tune in!

i like watching this show great comedy n a great cast. if u haven't seen this show yet then take a chance its good nerdy comedy about girls comics space rejection video games n high IQ's its worth watching. the reason i bought the first 3 seasons is because i have been watching it on tv n i started in season 3 so i was just trying to catch up. i have been laughing non stop for the past week watching all 3 seasons. good buy!!!

If you like a good sitcom this might just be the one for you. I laugh everytime I see it. The cast is great and work together very well. The chem. is deffinatly there with this crew. I enjoy watching them over and over. Wish I could tell you that the DVD extras are worth the buy but that just wouldn't be right. They missed the ball on that one big time.

My family LOVES The Big Bang Theory! Its our absolute favorite show. We love that we can sit down and watch episode after episode if we want. Its wonderful that it will just make us laugh and laugh. Anybody who's watched the first season, should get the second, it gets better with time. I would absolutely recommend this show to anyone interested.

So I haven't bought the dvd yet, but I do plan on it! I have been following the series ever since the very beginning and have not been let down yet! The cast is a great team, the lines are delivered in excellent timing, the writing is flawless. the story ideas are unique. LOVE IT!!! If you haven't watched the show, now is the time!

This show is so funny, Sheldon makes this show come alive. I'm glad Bestbuy put it on sale I used the website which was very easy to order from and the shipment came perfect. I will use this site often! Back to the show its worth every penny even if its not on sale. Watch it and you'll feel good by laughing so hard

I have gotten my entire family hooked on this show and one-by-one am getting each of my friends hooked as well. Theres nothing you can't like about it. It's hilarious and smart and geeky all rolled into one, and i just can't get enough! Now i can't wait for the second season to come out on dvd!!

The first season of The Big Bang Theory is excellent! That can be tough to do when a show starts. The characters are pretty much good to go from the Pilot on with only slight changes to the characters personality. It's just a great show!

Just started watching 'The Big Bang Theory' last year and wanted to catch up by watch the beginning. Very funny sitcom, smart (literally) characters, and original plot lines. I always laugh and learn some science when watching this show...double win!

Great TV series! It starts out a little slow and honestly I didn't know if I'd like it, but overall it ended up being a great series to watch. The only character that I didn't fully like was Leonard, but my dislike was only minor.

When I decided to buy this show, I had only seen a couple of episodes, so I figured I'd pick it up. Once I started watching, I couldn't stop. It actually kept getting better after the pilot and the character development is awesome as well.

We were a little late getting on "The Big Bang Theory " train we just started watching it this season. We enjoy it so much we decided to get the past seasons to watch. AWESOME!! You'll have to have it if you like the show!

This is an absolute riot to watch. For anyone who is a techy, geek, nerd or knows someone who is... there's something there for everyone to enjoy.

This is a great show that our entire family loves. It's nice to find a television show that isn't aimed at a seventh grade vocabulary and mindset level. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

BBT is the best!! It is sooo awesome!! It tells the whole story of how these friends started out!! It is soo funny and worth the money!

this DVD is awesome! it's nice to see the earlier episodes. i only started watching this season. i've only seen the first disc, and it's great. highly-recommended for all you nerds out there.

This show is hilarious and intelligent. I heard it's written by physicists and other geniuses. The acting is great and the characters are very unique. I can never watch just one episode.
