Alfred Hitchcock a legend and pioneer in scary movies. Excellent steelbook!

I totally forgot how Hitchcock directed his movies!!! This is why he was considered one of the best horror film makers of all times!!!!

I watched the Birds on tv, and so I bought the dvd to get all the action. The price was good, but I can only play it on my computer.

The steelbook is gorgeous (although you may hear complaints online about it being matte and not gloss). But I've always been a big fan of the poster art. The 4K disc is probably as good as this film will ever look in your home. While I give the movie and the steelbook a 5-star rating, make sure to select "Pick Up at Store" because the packaging was beyond shoddy. In fact, the steelbook was torn down the spine and damaged all over thanks to lack of packing care. Fortunately I was able to exchange it at my local Best Buy store in Greenville, NC for a copy they had on the shelf. A shout-out to the customer care rep there for doing a great job locating a replacement copy; a shout-down to the shipping department for their terrible packaging (no protection whatsoever).

Even though it is a movie from the 60's it is so well done that it is a must see. It isn't too scary for those who are squeamish.

An Alfred Hitchcock classic. A great story with plenty of extras. The blu ray is theater quality.

This is a normal BluRay movie, and is a classic redo. Well worth watching.

classic hitchcock movie for it's era...was disappointed with the video, only because you expect the best with blu-ray...but still good movie...if you like older movies this is a classic

Old movie from childhood. wanted a friend to see...we enjoyed it.

Love this movie as well as other Hitchcock films. I waited on the release of this film for some time to see if it would come down in price or go on sale but it never did---that is until after I bought it. I think 14.99 is way too much to ask for this release. Sure, it has a UV copy, but it doesn't have a DVD copy like many other 14.99 blu rays.

After his great success with Psycho, Alfred Hitchcock followed up with a different kind of horror tale. A carefree bachelorette (Tippi Hedren) follows a man (Rod Taylor) she had a less than ideal encounter with to his home town of Bodega Bay. At the same time they reunite, birds of all kinds (seagulls, crows, blackbirds, pigeons, you name it) inexplicably begin attacking human beings all over the place. The character scenes aren't quite as strong as they were in Psycho, but there is so much nervewracking (& even paranoid) tension that you won't care. There is, interestingly, no music score to this flim. But that didn't stop Hitchcock from utilizing the services of the great Bernard Herrmann for the sound work for this pic.
