While I was a huge fan of the early years of SNL, I never understood the attraction of The Blues Brothers movie. It seems like a drawn out skit with a ridiculous time spent on really dumb car chases. The script, acting and plot aren't top notch (both Ackroyd & Belushi seemed bored with the project. The UHD disc suffers, as eepected from a significant amount of grain at the beginning and the image quality doesn't appear to be much of an improvement over the Blu-Ray which is included. Sound quality (especially during music scenes) is probably the best feature of the package.

Spent an hour in the Tanasbourne store. Their computers showed 5 BD available, but they could not find them and it turned out they did not even receive them. Eventually ordered on-lline.

John Belushi and Dan Akroyd take the characters they made popular on SNL to the big screen. They try to get their band back together so that they can pay the back taxes on a local school so it won't close. This is a very good movie with amazing music from such notables as Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and James Brown, not to mention the Blues Brothers Band themselves. Highly recommended.

Entertaining Belushi/Aykroyd Film with Great Music

As a college student during the original Saturday Night Live series, I was thoroughly entertained by these Belushi/Aykroyd characters. It is truly a joy to view this fun film again in its remastered Blu-ray format. The music of my generation sounds fantastic as it is performed on-screen by the great Arethra Franklin, James Brown, Ray Charles, and Cab Calloway!

    Cult Classic

This is the story of Jake and Elwood Blues (made popular on Saturday Night Live when the series was worth watching), 2 brothers that grew up in the Blues Era. The tale is their efforts to save their adoption center from the tax man. The musical performances alone make the DVD worth the price.

Loved the Extras where you could get the stories behind the movie and what the director and actors were thinking, what motivated their thoughts or actions. Also lived in Wauconda where some scenes were filmed so it was great to remember what the area looked like back then.

    Aykroyd & Belushi Are Great

Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi complimented each other very well in this cult-classic comedy. Good 25th anniversary edition here, but a few more extras would have been appreciated. Still recommended highly, especially to fans!
