I'm a big fan of CGI animated features and this film is no exception. A beautiful array of colors, imagery, and culture, all stemming from Mexican heritage. A great story and cast of characters makes this film a must own.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this movie when I rented it. It is a fun story and uniquely animated. I even go the soundtrack because I loved the songs. I would high recommend this for anyone wanting a good family film.

Its a fun movie to watch with the Kids.. its colorful and spiritual/cultural like setting makes it come together.. its simple but has a depth to it to make this pick up a good value.. 3d is a plus for those into it ;)

I first watched this film on HBO and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The story is just great. It's about love, family, meaning, etc. It has something for everyone. When I saw it on sale I couldn't help but to buy it.

The package was well worth the money. A digital download is included which we loaded onto my granddaughter's iPad. The movie itself is clever and the animation is unique. It is crystal clear and visually appealing.

While The Book of Life doesn't have a great plot or characters, it's visual style and the universe it portrays is enough to shoot it to near the top of year's best animated films. It has a great sense of pacing, looks amazing, has a wonderfully original storyline (even if as I said the plotting isn't anything spectacular), and a decent to great sense of humor.

The movie was great! My young daughters love watching it and it helps show them celebrations that other cultures have. Not to mention the fun way to help reinforce a positive life lesson. And was pretty inexpensive for a good movie.

I only bought this movie because it is in 3D. However, I really enjoyed it. Lots of good hum along music,and very colorful sceens. It also gave me an insitght into the mexican world of the "day of the dead".

My son and I love this movie. It is a great family movie and worth stopping and making time to watch. Music is so great we downloaded the soundtrack.

Bought this movie for my daughter. She loves that she can watch on our huge living room TV which only has a Blu-ray DVD player or in her room on her regular DVD player. Very convenient and worth every $.

This is the original movie that is all about El Dia de los Muertos. Created by a Mexican and holds true to all that I have been taught about the holiday. It is a beautiful story with well developed characters.

I hope your watching in 3d because the subtle use is fantastic. The kids will love the color and the animation is out of this world! Fantastic! ANY thing Guillermo Del Toro is involved in is ALWAYS worth the extra effort to watch!!!

As soon as I saw the trailer for this I knew I had to have the 3D Blu-ray in my collection. May not be the most original storyline but it has amazing animation, a great voice cast, and a great moral to the story. Highly Recommended!

This was a cute movie. My five year old and three year old love it. There's quite a bit of singing in it and they really enjoy that. It's a movie about love and doing what's right in the end. Follow your heart and staying true.

I thought it was good for the children in my family to see a movie which depicted another culture's tradition. Whether or not it was exact/authentic in it's portrayal, it introduced another tradition in a very appropriate manner. .

We watched this movie in 3D. It was amazing to watch. The anamation is absolutley breath taking. The color is surreal. Good message also. Not as well know as many animated movies but definatley worth the time to watch.

if you're mexican or hispanic decent this a great movie to show the little ones because unfortunately in present day there are very little hispanic / mexican characters to relate to especially for children

We bought this movie on sale after thinking about grabbing it for our 6 year old daughter. It was a great movie, although I felt like it started a little slowly. The colors and animation were lush and well done. We completely enjoyed the historical aspects of Day of the Dead and the great cultural references and art work. Definitely recommend!

An okay movie. Wouldn't recommend adding to your collection!

Bought the movie for my daughters and they absolutely loved it. They continue to watch the included digital version. Certainly got our money's worth and saved us from spending a boat load at the theatres.
