Assassins, government conspiracies, surveillance, Amnesia. All of those elements made The Bourne Identity a classic action film for the post-Y2K crowd. Matt Damon stars as a man who can't seem to remember who he is or what he's supposed to do, yet he has certain instincts and skills that a normal citizen would never possess. Through chance, he meets a German woman played by Franka Potente (Run Lola Run) and together they go on a dangerous journey to uncover what dark secrets are in Bourne's immediate past. As a sidenote, this movie is double-sided- one side is Blu-Ray and the other is DVD. Which may or may not be a good thing depending on the person. I did like the concept but I normally prefer to have a separate DVD disc, so that I can give those to my relatives. But in my case, it's not a big deal. I just thought I would mention it in case people thought there were 2 separate discs.

The Bourne Identity is a great movie. The whole movie is full of action and suspense. The car chase was one of the best I've ever seen and all the fight scenes are filmed close up to give you some of the coolest action sequences ever filmed. The story is great too and it keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire film. This is a great thriller that you'll enjoy over and over again.

Always been fond of Matt Damon, when i first saw the Bourne movies i was blown out of the water, I didn't know he could portray such a bad@$$ and pull it off so well. My comment of him beating Rambo, well lets just say, he would outsmart him to beat him, then he would open a can of well you know... such an awesome flick! SO SO SO GOOD!

The Bourne Identity is a very good movie. Has non-stop action and suspense. Very cool fight scenes. Great car chase in the Mini Cooper in Paris. This one of the best spy movies and it is a fun movie to watch over and over again. DVD includes great bonus features.

This is very good movie. It's probably not as good as Ultimatum or Supremacy but it's still way better than most action movies. Matt Damon is great as Bourne and the entire cast does a really good job. The action scenes are awesome and the plot is as well. This is a very cool movie for action fans.

I liked Bourne Identity because it consisted of non-traditional action sequences, a question-driven story, and more indie-style cinematography that sets the film apart. It's a shame that in the sequels, some of this feel is lost, though it's good that other aspects have been incorporated into 'blockbuster' movies. The movie moves at a fast clip, trading action for tense investigation for brief reflective scenes right back into action. At times this transition seems a bit jolted, but in the end the movie fits.

The first time I saw The Bourne Identity I was amazed by the amount of action in this movie. The fight scenes are shot really close up and the car chase is filmed amazingly as well. I couldn't stop watching this movie and would recommend it to anyone.

A very fun action movie with a great supporting cast including Clive Owen and Franka Potente. Potente in particular adds a lot to this installment, she humanizes his character which makes this by far the best of the Bourne series.

Great story-line, amazing action non stop. I owned the DVD then upgraded to Blu-Ray, I watch it over and over and it's still entreating. If you are an action, police/army related fan, this is for you

This movie is AWESOME! It's a high-speed movie, and the main character is REALLY smart in it. He comes up with very creative and out there ideas to avoid being captured and killed. I highly recommend it!

A great franchise to watch. The Bourne Identity is the first of four great movies of the franchise. If you like action and suspense I recommend this movie.

Much better on Blu-ray for sure. I just purchased a soundbar, and this really does help hear the sound for this picture. This film has great sound effects, and is an all around good action picture. While not the most thrilling of the 3 in this series, its still a good start. A vast improvement over the DVD.

The movie itself is awesome - good action, smart story...all around good movie. Blu Ray transfer looks great, plus Steelbook and digital copy are nice bonuses.

Got the Bourne series - The Matt Damon trilogy for $3.99 each. Great buy , awesome disc quality . Got both the formats in a single disc.

This is the begining of one of the most best trilogies ever made. It is really facinating how the character bourne is totally lost and does not remember anything of his past. He is totally confused and doesnt really know who to trust, but he follows his instincts and finally gets out of the mess he is in.

Had been a while since I had seen this one and when I got it after Black Friday I remembered just how good of an action movie it was.

Love Matt Damon. One of my favorite actors. Excellent plot, and action. Extremely suspenseful. Never read the books.

The film is entertaining throughout and action-filled. But doesn't replace action for story. Plot is intriguing from the start. This entire series has some of the best chase sequences out there. Matt Damon is superb. Dialogue is believable and characters are developed and likable.

I have watched this lots of time and it is great action movie. Matt Damon is a great actor who can pull this type of movie off without a hitch.

If you're a Bourne fan this is a great addition to your movie collection and the Best Buy price made it worth the purchase.
