It was a good story set back during the Holocaust. It was emotional and heartbreaking. The child actors were exceptional. Strongly recommend.

I didn't research movie makers intentions, but it appears to be a Holocaust movie aimed at children.. and as such, watching it, I thought about sharing it with my kids (8 and 10) until the ending.. It was a very very sad ending. Almost unnecessarily so. And I know that sounds like a ridiculous thing to say about a Holocaust movie, but .. well, it was surprisingly so given the context of the rest of the movie. My opinion anyway.
