End of Life Travel Adventures
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bucket List stars Jack Nicholson as billionaire hospital businessman Edward Cole and Morgan Freeman as a hard working car mechanic named Carter Chambers who also has a passion for history. Both Edward Cole and Carter Chambers strike up an unexpected friendship after meeting in a hospital while fighting for their lives. Ironically enough, Edward Cole is rushed to the hospital after having a meeting pertaining to his business dealings with a hospital. Carter Chambers if first shown eventually being rushed to the hospital after successfully answering some trivia questions given to him by a coworker and mentioning about Tesla. There is also a cultural reference to the Divine Comedy in this film. Edward Cole has led a very successful material life, but his relationships have been another story. Meanwhile, Carter Chambers loves his wife Virginia Chambers (Beverly Todd0 and other members of his family a lot. However, Chambers decides to go on a bucket list trip with Cole because all of mostly his grown life has been spent putting others before himself. Chambers realizes that he wants to use some of his remaining months to enjoy his life before he dies. One of the touching scenes in the film is where the character of Cole is shown diplomatically but firmly insisting to his doctor that he also asks Chambers if he has any health questions as well instead of leaving him to wait longer than needed for the other doctor. Some of the adventures that Edward Cole and Carter Chambers go on together involve bungee jumping and going on a safari via seeing some animals. Cole’s assistant Matthew (Sean Hayes) helps tend to Cole’s end of life business dealings and the bucket list trip. The following features to this film are; movie trailers for Semi-Pro, Bernard and Doris, Mama’s Boy, and Get Smart. The Screenwriter of Bucket List (under the special feature of Writing A Bucket List) explains the idea behind why he decided to script The Bucket List (Mario Sorrenti is credited to have played a role in directing the Bucket List). There is also an additional bonus of getting more special features if this dvd is inserted in the dvd rom player of a personal computer. Last,, but not least, this dvd has a special feature of the music video for Say What You Need To Say by John Mayer (including scenes for the movie).

A touching ,sentimentel movie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie was well written. Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman are great pair for this movie. Not too sarcastic but not too funny. In so many words it shows you how you cant have everything and be happy. But nor can you have a family and have everything you want without be some what disfunctional. (Jack Nicholson) A man who had everything didn't at all. he had no family. mainly because there was an issue between him and his daughter. He owned alot of hospitals.it was more low ranked then anything other. Although it was ranked that way (Jacks) Charecter still tryed to fight the hospitals policy. as he puts it :: ( He owns hospitals not health spas.)(two bedrooms to a room no exceptions):: (Morgan Freeman) a man who was a struggling mechanic and a middle class family but always dreamed of things he wanted to do.HIs wife was very over protective of him and not an easy person to please. Even with the best of care he was getting after (Jack) helped him. Two totaly different class of people (middle class and upper class) who are dying at the same time but end up in the end being eachothers friends. The moral saying in this movie would be : it doesnt matter how much money you have but if you don't have family your life isn't complete. everyone needs someone to talk too or lean on in rough times. Like the saying goes:: ( not everyone likes to be alone)

A sad funny comedy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a sad comedy. So you can use the excuse that your laughing so hard that you cry. Their is a really great chemistry between Freeman and Nicholson. They will have you laughing from close to the start of the movie up until the end. The beginning is a little slow but its not to bad. It does jump around a little bet especially when they are doing there bucket list. Also, it always seems like the two are arguing almost the hole time almost like they are married. The blu-ray really looks great but I feel one could save the extra money and buy it on dvd and be just as happy.

Worth watching
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's definitely what you would expect from watching the trailer, but still a good flick. Morgan Freeman is as believable and amazing as ever in this role. It was a little slow in parts and they could have done a little more with the story, but it is a touching story and definitely worth watching.

Good movie Overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over all this is a good movie for people of all ages to watch that really makes you happy. The story line an plot is well done, while the movie its self is very predictable and Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman arent at there best but are always good and fun to watch. In the end its not an academy award winner but its a heart warming film that i would recommend.

Explains the story perfectly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie will tough everyone's heart especially those of us who have had our lives touched by cancer. Very well written and both Jack and Morgan's parts were played so well you believed you were living in their town and new them as your neighbors. Even the ending caught me by surprise. Another hit for Rob Reiner.

Looking for a Tearjerker?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a comedy, you may want to skip this one, it doesn't offer too much in terms of laughs. It is a very touching and moving film, however; it will make you reevaluate your own life. This DVD also has some great features as well, I would suggest you check it out.

Great Movie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie was very good. I thought it was funny, sad, basically had me on the of my seat. The one con is the fact that I already could tell what was going to happen within the first 3 minutes. I would recommend this movie to others, it is one to keep around.

Great Movie
