In my opinion, the story was hard to follow. There were some very weird scenes also. I think I'll need to watch this two or three more times for me to fully understand it and I'm hoping for understanding then.

Worst Ridley Scott movie ever made. Very hard to follow with one of the worst endings I've ever seen. Needs to stick to sci-fi. Even Pitt and Fassbender could save this horrible script.

The Counselor is a very very long movie with a rambling plot that relied heavily its actors.

This movie dragged. I fell asleep the first time I tried to watch it and the second time I just lost interest. Some scenes of this movie have nothing to do with the plot. Feel like they were just thrown in to keep a mans interest. Acting wasn't bad, great cast, plot was confusing and caused a puzzle of a movie. I guess I blame the director for not knowing how to properly put this puzzle of a movie together.

The movie was not engaging and was completely lacking in substance and plot. The acting was poor.

Many expectations fall in line with seeing a film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Cormac McCarthy. Unfortunately, none of these excellent actors (Cameron Diaz not included) couldn't save this picture from feeling like one giant ramble stitched together by an incredibly weak narrative. Get your kicks of neo-noir filmmaking elsewhere.
