An action movie with a good story line viewers will enjoy.

Quality story telling, with dark subject matter. Brutal scenes of violence are poignant because of the incredible dialogue leading up to them. The not seen brutality and the evil implied makes the movie unnerving and tense from the beginning. This film is an overlooked gem.

Cormac McCarthy is my favorite author. This is not his best work. There are some of my favorite actors in this movie. This is not their best work. This movie is not the worst movie ever made. It also is not the best movie ever made.

Neo-noir brilliance from Ridley Scott, stepping outside of his epic wheelhouse and pairing up with the estimable Cormac McCarthy for one of the darkest anti-thrillers ever to come out of the studio system. Akin to Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia.

Not going to get to wordy here but you have a classic rise and fall story of someone who has it all and it is just not quite enough. Ridley Scott is a great director and the extended cut makes more sense then the Theatrical Release.

I like movies like this normally . In Mexico . Cartels . Drug wars . But this is exceptionally violent . Still it was an interesting take on it . Good actors . Javier Bardem especially.

Decent story about the choices we make with an emphasis on consequences. Sadly the innocent parished at the hands of the greedy. No likable characters and motives of characters are not always clear.

I love a good movie. I love to own movies because our internet is poor where I live so streaming is not an option. Who doesn't like Brad Pitt.

I bought this movie at a discounted price had I know it was a diamond in the ruff I would paid full price. This one goes in my collection of classical. 5stars

I buy so many movies and usually end up watching them once and that's it. The counselor is a very great movie. Ending was something special and acting was amazing.
