The movie, The Dark Crystal is a very entertaining movie. I would definitely recommend the purchase of this movie.

This is a pretty good scary movie. Muppets as monsters. The blu ray picture is great a good film but not for little ones

I took a long time to do these reviews and yet I'm still not happy and very upset because of the way I was treated at your store. I didn't get defended enough when I was attacked by your security even after one of your female workers that's a manager defended me and tried to tell the security that they have a mistake they still didn't listen. And it's been a whole month later and I'm still not happy. You know why cause I've been a long time customer. It takes a long time to make a friend but just 1 second to make an enemy. You people need to learn from this. And this is why I will still continue to purchase things from you but you will never get a good grade from me. Regardless if your items are good your grade will be 0. The same treatment you gave me regardless I was a good customer you still treated me like crap. You guys think you can fix it with a few gift cards.. And you still haven't gotten rid of the main worker there that took a picture of me. And even after I brought it up to the District manager still not enough to get this guy fired. Somebody that does something like that for me I don't want them working for me there are liability. I'm sure a giant corporation like you wouldn't like liabilities but you have a lot of them working for you. This is why I continue to give you bad readings and from now on I will review every single item. And yes I will continue to buy from here just to stick it to you. I'm be able to give you bad grades. I know it bothers you especially when it comes from corporate.

A great fantasy movie, groundbreaking at the time of its release. Some scary elements, but no gory violence.

A favorite as a child. Although a bit dark, great none the less. I look forward to sharing it with my children.

Step into the world created here by puppets. Soon you forget all but the story because of the grand skills of the puppeteers and directing. Wisdoms are found in small places. Was this a time gone by? Like the once populated Manchu Picchu by priestess living lives of gentleness embodying gifts, these great Beings could easily have walked Earth. Who is to say that great leaders were not at one time gentle, wise and lived long periods of time? And of course the ridged characters who "Want" and only know that. It's the struggle even today. Maybe children can see this all more clearly then we think they do. Are we the best role models for them? Sit down and talk with the family each listening to the other with open minds. Include your hearts in that discussion too!

I grew up with this movie. I watched it number of times as a kid throughout the 80's. So after seeing it again for the first time since then, it isn't as great as I remembered it. The puppetry and the atmosphere were still fantastic but the story itself leaves a bit to be desired. Every fantasy cliche you can think of is in this movie (i.e. 'the chosen one has to save the world', etc.) and quite frankly, other fantasy movies have done this story better. The allure of this movie is that there are no human beings whatsoever in it. Everything is puppets directed by the best puppet masters in movie history (Jim Henson and Frank Oz). But if you're reading these reviews, chances are that you are already a fan of this movie, so if you're wondering how the Blu-ray itself is rest assured that this is one heck of a great package. The video quality looks great and there are hours of special features. If you're a fan of this movie, then you must get this Blu-ray! If you've never seen it before, I'd recommend at least renting it first somehow to see if you like it.

This steelbook is gorgeous. I think its one of my favorites and I have a lot of steels. The back art is what I liked the most. Im not sure why but its great. I dont have much to say about the movie itself. I cant remember how long ago I had seen it last. I remember it scared me as a child in the 80s. So it was kinda new to me. Delivered via 4k I was drawn in right away at all the details the Henson/Oz crew created and just let it roll. Masters of the craft. The story is great. Timeless tale of good vs evil. If you're a steelbook collector, get this steel. Its nice. If you are not a collector and get this one on steel you just might become one of us.

This is a film that holds a great deal of nostalgia for me. I was at the first showing back in 1982, and the wonder still holds. With each additional viewing, I still notice details, both in the story and execution, that I failed to see before. The UHD presentation is second-to-none, and is a prized member of my library. If you love the film (or even just like), this is a no-brainer!
