Best of the Trilogy.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far the best out of the Nolan Batman trilogy. And that is mostly down to the brilliant performances by Heath Ledger and Morgan Freeman. Heath does such a brilliant job. He really took this character into a new dimension. A shame he never got to see the impact of his work. The movie on 4k UHD is a sight to behold. Clarity and color cannot be beat. It just keeps you mesmerized the entire time. If you are a a fan, this is the best the movie has ever looked. Pick it up now!

Best Sound Editing & Best Supporting Actor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Though I do not think it was supposed to, my purchase did not come with a digital copy. (I also purchased Batman Begins which did come with one.) The greenish blue tint from the old Blu-ray is gone. IMAX shots look sharper also. This is film 2 of 3 in the Nolan Batman series. [Side note: I was a bit thrown off guard initially when seeing the role of Rachel Dawes turned over to Maggie Gyllenhaal after Katie Holmes.]

Great collectible item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this blu ray disc when it was on sale at $9.99 at my local Best Buy. Although I already own other versions of The Dark Knight that were previously released, this one is easily my favorite one because the cover matches my favorite version of the theatrical movie posters. The product includes 2 discs: (a) Disc 1 is the movie itself (b) Disc 2 has all the bonus features Bottom line is: if you're a collector like me, I'd highly recommend that you buy it. You won't regret by the quality of the steelbook for the money that you pay. However, if you already own previous versions of the movie, there is not much value for your money. The bonus features will be the same as what you own now.

The Dark Knight
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Christopher Nolan's masterpiece The Dark Knight comes to 4K with an image sourced from a new 4K scan that has been color-corrected and HDR graded under the director's supervision. Details, saturation and shadow definition all get a boost and the IMAX footage is still breathtaking. The lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, while not Dolby Atmos, is quite superb. Comes with blu-ray disc and digital code. This is, hands down, the best comic book adaption ever filmed.

One of the best Batman movies you'll see
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dark Knight is the best in this recent incarnation of Batman movies. If you're a fan of the genre or not, there is something for you in this film. I always thought the best portrayal of The Joker was when Jack Nicholson played him the original Batman movie directed by Tim Burton, but the late Heath Ledger steals many of the scenes and was very deserving of his posthumous Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. He portrays him much darker and sinister than you've seen him in other Batman shows or movies, but also makes him much more "real" and believable as the villain he has become in the saga. The film runs a little long, but is well worth the time you'll spend.

The Dark Knight Superpasses The Hype!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rarely has a film left me speechless, much less a comic book inspired film. Christopher Nolan's rendition of the DC comic character has. "THE DARK KNIGHT" may well be the best comic book film I have ever seen. Christopher Nolan, along with Jonathan Nolan has crafted a screenplay of nearly unbelievable proportions. The duo has taken the "Batman" mythos and has turned it into their own; what results is a film that captures the essence of the comic book and combines it to a truly gripping and engaging psychological crime drama-action-adventure. You heard that right, a psychological crime drama and an adventure.

Buy it!!!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battle for the soul of Gotham takes place on Ultra HD with a stunning, jaw-dropping 4K HDR presentation that easily bests and surpasses its HD SDR counterpart, offering fans several demo-worthy moments. The war erupts with a new DTS-HD MA track that comparatively sounds identical to the reference-quality Dolby TrueHD mix enjoyed on the Blu-ray. With the same set of supplements ported over, the overall package is highly recommended for anyone wanting show off their home theater system.

Classic
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Anything by Christopher Nolan is guaranteed to be good and this fits the bill. The first in the Batman trilogy this film truly sets the tone for Bruce Wayne, his origin, and why he's not like other "superheroes". It's dark and gritty but still gives you someone to root for and the facts the effects aren't CGI and misplaced makes it all the better and more enjoyable. A true must-watch!

Sublime presentation
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The movie itself is phenomenal and is definitely worth having. This version is sourced from a new 4K scan which an improvement over the Blu-ray. While it's not perfect and has flaws, the benefits greatly outweigh any negatives. It comes with a room-rattling DTS-HD MA audio track (Nolan doesn't do Atmos) which also improves over the previous Blu-ray. Treat yourself and your home theatre with this movie!

Doesn't get any better than this
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my opinion this was the best batman movie ever made. Heath Ledger makes a scary joker and makes you terrified that someone like the Joker could actually exist outside of the movie. There is a believable threat, beautifully done back-story, and amazing props/effects and acting for this batman movie. I love watching this movie again and again. It's re-watch value is wonderful. If you love action flicks, superheros, and/or dark films, this is a must see. Note: This movie may be somewhat scary for young children, please know your child's creepy tolerance level before watching this movie with them.

Dark Knight: Stunning in 4K!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The second of Christopher Nolan's masterpieces in his Batman Trilogy. Heath Ledger deservedly won an Oscar posthumously for Best Actor due to his amazing, over-the-top performance as the Joker, Batman's arch-nemesis. This movie is even more stunning in 4K-HD and is a must-have purchased for any Batman fan!

Best Batman Movie Ever
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dark Knight is the best comic book based movie ever made. Heath Ledger delivers the best performance of his career and Christian Bale is by far the best Batman/Bruce Wayne. It made over $1,000,000,000 without a 3D version which in itself is quite an accomplishment. The movie looks fantastic in 4K and I highly recommend it to anyone. You don't have to be a comic book fan to enjoy this dark gritty version of Batman and the Joker.

Engrossing Every Time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What's there to say. An obvious all-time favorite. Inspired storytelling powerfully acted. Of course, everyone will cite Heath Ledger who was beyond phenomenal, but the more I watch it the more captivated I am by Aaron Eckhart's performance. The delivery of his lines is just right for the development of the character, and some moments continue to give me goosebumps. All of this greatness begins with the story though, and Christopher Nolan was clearly making this movie to satisfy his own creative necessity, a hunger seeded by the vibrant source material.
