Great movie made from a Stephen King novel. Plan to watch it again

Really good movie Not what i was expecting but a good movie.

I think it’s a good movie. Runs perfect. I greatly enjoyed it.

Great HDR content and good action scenes coupled with a good story.

A dark tower exists that protects the universe from a demonic apocalypse. The tower can be destroyed by the mind of a child. The Man in Black is locked in an eternal struggle with the Last Gunslinger, as one tries to bring the tower down and the other tries to defend it. One child is caught in the middle of it all. The problem is; the moviemakers saw fit to compress EIGHT Stephen King books into one movie, leaving the intriguing premise feeling rushed and under-explained. This needed to be a TV show.

Saw this in theaters, but didn't really have high hopes after so many poor reviews. Happily we all enjoyed it! I have every book, movie and tv series that has Stephen King's name on it, but the people I went with were casual fans at best. We enjoyed it for what it was instead of comparing it to the books. Idris Elba was fantastic as The Gunslinger, although I expected nothing less. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the ride, just don't expect it to be as gritty as the books. Looks beautiful on bluray!

If you're looking for a book adaption this isn't it. Forget what you know about Roland, Jake, and don't even remember Eddie or Susan; they don't show up. Idris kills the role, though so good on him. With all that said; It's a good hangover movie cause you don't care enough to care, you just watch and enjoy.
