Never read the books but i love this movie. Idris Elba did such a good job as the Gunslinger i was ready for another movie but sadly there are no plans for a sequel. If you like action with crazy gun shooting your going to like this one.

This was an underrated movie. Not sure why it didn't do better in theaters. Majority of my friends that have seen it thought it was good and enjoyable, myself and my family included. Worth the value of buying the movie.

I was skeptical of this movie due to the bad reviews. However I actually enjoyed it overall. It seemed geared for a younger audience but it was an interesting story with a sense of foreboding for all ages.

The Dark Tower Novel has been considered King's Best work even though the Movie didn't do Justice to it. Idris Elba and Mcconaughey tried their best which Elevates the movie a bit and is somewhat Entertaining.

The Dark Tower is Stephen King's magnum opus series. If you were to just take this movie "outside" of his books, it's mildly entertaining since it is only 1 1/2 hours long. Someone will do it justice (hopefully).

Having read all the books I had really high expectations. Overall it told the story but seems like it could have had more. For a new person to the series it's a good introduction and is not dependent on the books.

i was excited when this movie came to the theaters but the reviews scared me off. i purchased it because i want 4k movies and it was on sale. the movie itself is okay, worth a watch but not so much a purchase.

Love Stephen King film adaptations from his books. I love this movie, haven’t read the book series yet! 4k is beautiful and sound quality is theater perfection! Steelbook case wasn’t damaged and beautifully done!!

Definitely a solid disk technically. Not a bad summary of the entire gunslinger series but it really should have been planned as a franchise or a limited series. Solid performances by all just too compressed.

This seemed more like a teen movie more then anything. I admit I have not read any of the books, so I don't know if that is what they were going for. This is great for teens and 20s but not so much for adults.

Purchased this item during a Black Friday sale. The store had several copies in stock for a great price. I'd been searching for this as a gift for a secret santa gift. Thanks, Best buy for having what I need!

Good movie. Very good story. I thought the acting by everyone was really great. To watch this movie on a 4K tv and and a good sound system is the best.

This adaptation of Stephen King's is accrued from a number of the Dark Tower stories. Looks and sounds great on 4K.

I have never read the books but i found this movie very interesting and it makes me want to read the books. this is a pretty good movie. the story is good, the acting is good and the directing is good. this is a enjoyable movie to watch i always enjoy movies based on stephen king books. if you have not seen this movie then i recommend you do. this

I enjoyed this take on the 1st book in the Stephen King Dark Tower series. Fans of the book may not like the stripped down nature of this movie but it was still enjoyable for me. Great visuals and sound.

Not the Gunslinger from the books , I compared this to Gunslinger crossed with a kids fantasy film . I know a lot of people didn't like this but I enjoyed it . I use the 4K disc as a demo to show friends how good Dolby Vision looks .

This is getting a 5 star rating only because this in my opinion is the best looking 4K movie out right now. Sony knocked it right out of the park with the picture and audio quality. The movie itself, meh. I expected more from a movie with Idris and Matthew but that didn’t happened. Short movie. An extra 30 mins might have made it a little better though.

I am not a fan of Stephen King, but this was not horror but science fiction. I liked the movie a lot, but it is a little short. I would like to see more movies as I heard it's part of a series of books.

If you’re a follower of the services put that to the side or you won’t be able to enjoy the movie. Overall a great Watch when watching to enjoy a Stephen King not so scary action movie with a storyline..
