I enjoyed this movie, as I wasn't expecting to be blown away by the acting or story-line. Cool special effects and decent acting from great actors, but it could have been less predictable.

was looking forward to this movie, and it wasn't bad but one of the big things I thought was it wasn't long enough. not to mention they really need more movies to go into what the books did for sure.

I'm a huge fan of the books so I was expecting something vastly different than what we were given. That being said, once I stopped dwelling on that, I found a good action/fantasy movie behind it all.

This is based on one of many possible stories, that Stephen King's portals has left open. Idris Elba made a great gunfighter along with Matthew McConaughey as the Dark Man. I liked the combination

Good movie. I really like the storyline and twists. Teens like it too. We have watched this movie with the family and friends. Very entertaining.

Loved the books, but they clearly teied to satisfy both people who read the books and those who had not.

When I bought this movie, I didn't know that it was a Stephen King movie. So I had reservations about watching it when I found out it was a Stephen King movie because I am not a fan. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. It was very well done and the main characters don't all die. I liked this movie and will watch it again.

Those who love the books may be disappointed, but I did not think the movie was bad like some have shared out there. Lots of Idris Elba fans in the house which may have something to do with it!

The story flow is slow so I fall asleep at one point. My daughter likes it because the story is about a young boy with special power. Can be a better movie if more action packed.

This young kid has dreams as his dreams get some more intensifies it goes on a journey and finds him self in the future. Now he must change future before terrible things happened on earth .

most Stephen king stories don't end up as very good movies.for whatever dumb reason. But needful thing, The Stand, The shining,salems lot and this one are great.

The plot could’ve been better but it’s a pretty decent film. Watching this in 4k hdr looked really beautiful. A little slow at times with too much talking but has great effects and actors.

So, I think that this would probably have been better as a mini-series but this is still a really cool film. I enjoyed it despite some lackluster reviews. Definitely worth picking up IMO.

What I liked: The casting. No, he looks nothing like the character as described in the books, but Idris Elba is incredible, and I want a movie of The Stand with Matthew McConaughey now. What I didn't: They kept only the bare bones of the Dark Tower story, threw in a bunch of random Stephen King references and called it a day. It's more Jake's story than Roland's and none of the truly great things about the series made it in. There are worse ways you can spend 95 minutes, but it's not a very good representation of the Dark Tower series.

A pretty good movie, some slow parts, but the action is pretty good. The star actors did great in their role, you won’t be disappointed in this film.

I didn't read the Stephen King books so I guess I came in watching this movie with no preconceived notions or biases. I enjoyed the movie for what it is, an exciting popcorn movie,

This is a decent film adaptation of the book. Definitely have to read the book to understand many points in the movie as not much is explained for those not familiar with the story.

I am a fan of Stephen King and have read the Dark Tower series of books. I was so excited when I heard there would be a movie. The movie was very different from the books but I still enjoyed it very much. I also watched A Look Through the Keyhole at the end of the movie and I better understood how the movie was made.
