My friend and I grew up reading the dark tower books. We loved them and while this movie isn't as good as the books I think general fans will enjoy it.

This movie in itself could have been a lot better. Some don't always look good.

This is a very good movie, but if you read the book series, this is different, per usual with movies based on books. Otherwise, the movie was very good!

Me & my wife thought the movie was pretty ok with some fun parts here & there. The video quality is top notch though. Worth a view & purchase for under 20.00

I think that The Dark Tower should have been called The Gunslinger instead because this movie is about more about a "gunslinger" rescuing a boy from a bad guy and less about The Dark Tower. You barley actually see the Dark Tower in this movie and no action really takes place there. If it wasn't for Idris Elba I believe this movie would be terrible. Elba is a great actor and has a certain magnetism about him that makes this movie much better. Fans of Elba will enjoy this movie.

Did not read the book so was not sure what to expect. Being a scifi fan I took a chance and made the purchase. I found it entertaining and was not disappointed.

I enjoyed the movie, but have not read the book. I did not see what people were critical about as I have watched this movie several times since purchasing it.

THE BOOK IS BETTER, AND I UNDERSTAND ADAPTING BOOKS TO MOVIES IS NOT AN EASY THING, IN PARTICULAR WITH BELOVED STORIES LIKE THIS STEPHEN KING CLASSIC

I had really high expectations for this movie. I didn't get a chance to see it in theaters. I thought it was well done and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Saw this movie in the Theater and decided to buy it when I found it on sale for 3.99 during Best Buy's Black Friday sale online. Enjoyed the movie in the theater and enjoyed it just as much watching at home. Great movie and even better price for Blu-Ray and digital Copy!

This is a very good Stephen king movie. Although not as good as the books. The story is actually more of a continuation of the story after the books. Movie has lots of action and lots of Easter egg nods to other king works. I loved watching this movie searching for those Easter eggs.

Although set in two separate time frames, they do a great job of bridging the gap and keeping the pace of action while buiding the characters along the way.

This movie was pretty decent but didn’t expect much going into it. It had potential but fell short it felt rushed. I’m giving it 4stars for the 4K quality

Lue. The bad guy wears black. Good acting and exceptional special effects. Story line begins to emerge eventually and makes the movie worthwhile.

I haven't read Stephen King's series so I don't have objections about changes to the stories. I thought the plot was interesting and the acting was good.

As a reader of the Dark Tower books I was a bit skeptical but it was okay even though a lot was left out, which I knew going into it. But worth a watch

This is a movie simply "based" on the Dark Tower series. Does a good job, and I generally enjoyed it. I just wished it followed the books more closely.

Haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but my wife and oldest son saw it in the theaters, and insisted I buy it when it was available on BR-Combo pack.
