This is a very good movie, good picture and good sound.

This is a great adaptation of the Death of Superman story, and one that leads into a sequel for 2019 "Rise of the Supermen" (very much looking forward to it). It does a good job introducing characters that will be in the next movie. I'm more excited for the next one, but you can't have that one without this one! At least DC does most of their animated movies right. If you actually read the Death of Superman comics when they were being released, you'll enjoy this movie. If the only Death of Superman you've experienced is Batman Vs Superman... you need to watch this movie.

I enjoy this film with my kids. It was fun to watch.

Supercharged not superman dead....................

First off... I like Superman/Doomsday. I thought it was good for it was condensed touching on the Death and Resurrection. It was loose based. But I read the comic book storyline. The Death of Superman followed the story more to the point which featured other DC characters that Superman/Doomsday lacked. It deserved the characters storyline. I look forward to Reign of the Supermen. I believe that DC Animated pics have improved since WB Animation with these films. The New 52 gave it a twist. It's very good!

I bought the deluxe edition that included the graphic novel. For those of you who don't know, The Death of Superman is the best selling graphic novel of all time. The artwork and story line are second to none. The movie has an equally great story line. Superman is definitely the savior of both the Justice League and planet Earth. I buy all of the DC animated movies as soon as they are released. I haven't been disappointed yet. After viewing the movie, I believe that others will feel the same way. Enjoy!

I've read the Death of Superman, I've seen Superman Doomsday, and this iteration of the battle between Superman & Doomsday in using the New 52 version of the Justice League, gave some feels back when I was a kid in middle school. Not the same very emotional feelings, but just a part of it already knowing that the death scene was coming. Animation was on point, voice actors were great, story was actually surprising and the fact that The League was involved made this animated movie worth watching.

Much like the title suggests, "The Death of Superman" is the first installment of a two-part event that tells the story of how the Man of Steel died when fighting the monstrous Doomsday and how his death will affect the world going forward. Unlike the equally impressive "Superman: Doomsday," this is a more faithful adaptation that allows the story to breathe. DC fans and comic book fans in general should pick this movie up. Truly recommended.

The comic book came out in the early 90s, so some things are updated(smart phones, flat screen monitors.) The story line itself is pretty true to the original comic book. As someone who collected the entire comic book series from introduction of doomsday, to the death, the funeral for a friend series, the reign of the supermen series all the way to the return of Superman, I was super excited to watch this. It did not disappoint. Recommended for any Superman fan.

Based on the DC comic series of the same name, The Death of Superman pits him against the one opponent that threatens the entire Earth with destruction, and only Superman can stop him, but at what cost? The Death of Superman is another addition to the DC Animated Universe of movies that have been released in recent years. Where Marvel does live action, DC owns the animated screen.

Its not an exact word for word or scene by scene like the original comic book but its are much more faithful adaptation than the previous one called Superman: Doomsday animated feature. Best thing about it is that it is a two part movie. The second part will actually go into the story of the 4 different superman (just like in the comics) and will have his return. (just like in the comics) this adaptation has not been done in animation form yet...until now.

When this was available for preorder from Best Buy I knew I had to have it! It's a retelling of the Death of Superman. This story is in two parts (maybe more) which is nice since it doesn't fell rushed. The animation is top notch and the story just as good. I don't want to give out any spoilers but cannot wait for the next DVD. I encourage all to watch this movie!!

I still remember reading the original comic book back in the early 90s. It was the most epic comic book story I've ever read! I mean Superman is indestructible and he cannot die! But this story showed that Superman reached his "limits" and subsided to Doomsday. But did he really die?? Watch this movie and make your own guess :) I'm collecting this particular item and keeping it unopened with its original wrapper, discs, and comic book intact.

The original Doomsday was a disappointment a lot of the elements were not from the comic and it was just horrible. This movie is more closer to the original series with a few liberties (such as the inclusion of the original JL) and for pacing purposes they speed up a few scenes that took a bit longer in the comic book storyline. Still a better improvement and it only took 26 years to get it right. Highly Recommend if your a comic buff .

This movie definitely took me back to the 90’s when the death of Superman actually happened. Though this rendition is a little more up to date, the impact of the death of an American icon was still there and felt. I can’t wait for the next installment, but I won’t ruin what it is. You’ll just have to get it and watch it for yourself to find out!

Although this movie was released back in 2007 as Superman Doomsday, this movie adds so much to what that movie was lacking. Not only is the movie updated with new actors, animation and story but it also adds in all the continuity that was set up with previous DC animated movies. Great film. Recommend this movie for all Superman fans and DC fans.

Why can't the DCEU put movies together like the Animated ones? This version of the "The Death of Superman" is an excellent adaptation of the comic book arc and fantastically sets up the comic book arcs of The Rise of the Supermen and Resurrection. The included comic book in this set tells a nice collection of stories between Superman and the members of the Justice League. Worth the purchase for collectors.

I know that Superman comics, tv shows, and movies have been around for almost a century but it's always exciting to me. This movie is filled with lots of rock 'em sock 'em action and even though some occurrences took me by surprise I can't wait for the next storyline comes to light. Superhero movies are fascinating.
