Definitely not as good as the comic book version, but it's watchable.

Once again the DCU Animated films does a better job than their live action counterparts. I liked this movie as a great introduction to those of us who did not read the original comic. This feature also has a lot of really good bonuses.

Great animation movie it bought me back to the day when the Doomsday vs Superman comic came out, but more modern. You'll love this move can't wait for the second part to come out.

Finally got the death of Superman story we should have gotten the first time. With a slight spin with the new 52 characteristics, it still honors the comic. definitely worth the purchase. Can't wait for reign of Superman next year

I've been enjoying the DC Universe animated films for years and I own quite a few of them. This retelling of one of the most famous comic book stories in DC history was done quite well. Showing how not even the Justice League could handle Doomsday was a highlight and the ending was quite emotional.

When the comics came out you could not get your hands on them. This story became one of disbelief and the world knew they had killed Superman. The first animated version, "Doomsday" told the story of the clash of the Titian's and how the man of steel was defeated and destroyed. It was good, this one is better. Problems with the animation though. Great in spots and then wonderment; who drew this it looks bad. The idea of a reveal of Doomsday slowly adds to the tension and what and who is this creature who has no regard for human life. In the end it is pure evil vs pure good and the end result rocks the world, Superman is dead. All in all not bad but not great either. However, if you are a fan, then this is one you want to have for that collection. The book, "The Wake" is a bonus and tells another story. As I said, good but not great.

For a someone who grew up reading this comic you may be disappointment but also happy. In the comic the JL didn't fight Doomsday. It was Superman, Over all this movie was good. I liked it, I kind of wish in the special features WB would have also added a release date for The Reign of the Superman.

Marvel may be top dog in the cinematic universe but DC has always delivered when it comes to movie animation and here they do not disappoint! Be sure and see what happens when the man of steel fights a monster from space!

The cartoon DC universe has established a solid reputation and this follows through, although the subject had been addressed in another movie there are enough differences to not seem repetitive.

This is a good movie adaptation of the original comic. Although memory's failing me, I'm pretty sure a lot of things were left out. Still, though, this is a good movie to own.

It was better than Superman vs Doomsday to me, it was more based off the comic book novel which I liked reading. I'm glad they gotten the animated movie right ! Anyone whos into superhero movies or comic books fans.

For those of us that know the story of Superman & His Death, this was beautifully done. The artwork was breathtaking. Done so that the whole family can watch together and enjoy. Looking forward to the stories to follow.

This is going to be one of the classics with the DC universe. The story was as close as it could be to the actual events of the comics. This is an exceptional film for new DC fans and old school comic geeks. Loved it.

Great movie, i read the comicbook years ago. And wanted to revisit it, but only copy I have is still sealed. And yet, this movie made me feel like I did when I read it.

Don't get me wrong; the action in it is great, but...it left me feeling like, been there seen that before from DC cartoon movies. Truth be told, their TV series Justice League, JLU and even Young Justice is on par with live-action TV shows as far as the writing/voice acting; and the fact that in cartoons they can do more in the way of action set pieces makes them somewhat better than some of the hokey special effects you see on shows like LOT, the Flash, etc. Anyway, I already knew the story, it's been done to death (no pun...), so maybe that has something to do with my lackluster review. I still say buy it and watch it, with the surround sound volume as high as you (and your neighbors) can stand it like I did to get the full experience; maybe you'll enjoy it even more than I did...

This is where DC needs to stay, in the animated lane. Their animated movies are usually always a hit with me, and this new version of TDOSM is awesome and the story is actually worth re-investing your time into.

The DECAU movies began with this story originally and I was wondering why the redo, but this movie stays truer to the original comic source material than the rushed original. Get this along with Reign of the Supermen of s great double feature

I remember when DC released the comic of superman dying. It was such a huge deal. So this movie was a bit of nostalgia for me taking me back to the spring of 93 going with my dad to get a copy of the comic. So for a fan and anyone who remembers it I definitely suggest checking it.
