Great adaptation of the death of Superman’s death. Great vocal performances and animation

A very good movie. It gave justice to the comic version about the death of superman.

Purchased the movie during Black Friday to add to my digital collection. Good movie.

, I've never really read any of the Superman comics, but after watching this movie I can finally see why people like Superman. Unlike the live action versions of Superman, in recent movies, this one actually shows Superman care about civilians and he treats their safety like it's the most important thing in the world. Not only that, but you can tell how much they in turn appreciate him as well. It's not a long movie (80 mins), however I think it's just about right amount of time for the story that's being told. Overall, I thought the movie was great with only a couple nitpicks. I'd recommend this for any superhero movie fan.

This is probably the best of the Spiderman movies yet, can't wait for the sequel.

One of the best DC stories ever and now in animated form! What're could you ask for?

Good use of new charcters-enjoyed reign of superman better that this first version

This movie is a bit more faithful to the comic book than the Superman Doomsday animated feature. For whatever reason, they featured the more popular characters in this movie as to where the comic book made use of all of its chatctes. Examply, Green Lantern was used instead of Guy Gardner when he had the yellow power ring. Batman took thew palce of Blue Beetle. Although, I am not sure of using actor Jerry O'Connel as the voice of Clark Kent/Superman. I always thought he should voice Superman when Supes in not the main character in the story and takes a back seat to other characters. He is more of a subdued Superman, in my opinion. Over all, it's a pretty good movie.

THE DCU is so very mixed up. While the LIVE ACTION FILMS are mostly miss (with the exception of Wonder Woman- which was great- that film's producers must not have "gotten the WB memo". lol) ; the ANIMATED FILMS are outstanding. This is the movie that Superman:Doomsday (the exception to DCU animated goodness) should have been. Anyone who read the 'Death of Superman' comics knows what this movie entails. And for them *partial spoiler alert*, the most asked question of 'Where was the MAIN Justice League during Superman's life and death fight?" is FINALLY ANSWERED. This is a must have for DC FANS. And next year (2019) 'Reign of The Supermen' is coming!

Somewhat differant story than a remember from the comics, but good story.

This was a 2 part movie that should have only been 1 long one. Feels like they were trying to do what they did with Batman Dark Knight Returns, but that was 4 comics. This has too much unnecessary content similar to the first 30 minutes of The Killing Joke. Good movie, but could have been better.

Very well put together and good entertainment and action packed.

Read the original graphic novel in the 90s, really enjoyec the movie

I am a big DC Animated Movies fan but the original version of this story was a hot mess. This time around though, they did it right. The cast is the same familiar voice cast as before but don't share the same universe as the other DC Animated Movies. This one did the original source material justice. It is a little longer than the others but doesn't feel like it outstays its welcome. The art is great, the story is superb and I am looking forward to the follow up film. A must own for any DC/Superman fan. This version also came with a mini graphic novel that was actually hardback versus others that usually give you a mini plastic book.

The Death of Superman is one of those Legendary comic books from my youth. I remember turning the pages to see if Superman could defeat the monster Doomsday. It came at such an informative time in my young life, that it has remained in my conscious nearly 30 years later. This movie adaptation dose this story justice and then some. It fixes certain issues I have with the source material. Instaid of having the B list justice leauge from the 90's, it brings in the true Leauge and shows how Batman, the Flash, Green Lantern and even wonder Woman are powerless to stop this pure malevolent force of evil. It also brings the feels.

Not the Best animated movie ive seen. But still very thrilling

Good not great. If you love Superman, then this is a must buy!

Finally a really good version of this great story, and by far the best DC animated movie in a long time! Especially since the whole 52 universe; since then they’ve been ok or flat out bad (no matter if they were 52 series or not- I’m looking at you Killing Joke). The changes to the story were mostly good. An A version of the JL fighting Doomsday was a great idea (hmm Flash or Booster Gold? Yeah Flash). I liked the sped up funeral and the lead ins the the sequel coming too. First time in a while I’m looking forward the next next installment! That used to be the norm for DC too. Glad they got their mojo back!

This is a fun movie. The opening now is just like the DCEU movies in theaters (now Worlds of DC). There are some new JL members who play a role in the film. WB continues to lead the way in superhero animation. The fight scenes are just great, both Superman and Wonder Woman are finally OP on film - just great to watch. Watch the credits too, there are about 4 extra scenes scattered throughout the credits that you might miss. Sam Register is making better and better animated moves (save Batman Harley sigh) and this one may be the best yet. Now, if WB can just make the real life superhero movies this good.

Good anime movie. As good as the original anime movie.
