Really great, I love it when a movie can surprise me with the storyline and the ending. James Gandolfini is amazing and plays his role very well. Tom Hardy really shines in another role he has pulled off, showing off how versatile his acting can be. Definitely a movie to watch!

My lady friend and I don't watch many film but this one delivered. It didn't seem to be a remake of another picture and it had a combination of Intense Drama, Romance and Conflict. The director was effective in taking the audience captive by moving us from scene to scene giving you aa Jolt of unexpected excitement.

Superb cast, multi layered plot, riveting at times with character interplay. Tom Hardy’s performance is as good as acting gets. Dark, yet slices of redemption, a deeply human movie....

I originally watched the movie on demand and I enjoyed it. The story is good since it shows how the dog and owner are characterized in certain ways. The man was unassuming, but was a cold killer and he nursed the injured dog back to health and helped out a friend in need.

Great actors, great acting. I'm not much for crime or action movies, but this is more a character study, and Hardy is stunning. Characters are fully developed, and the subtle hints throughout plot development are great hooks. Ladies, it's worth it just to watch this movie to see Tom Hardy breathe.

A great script and a wonderful cast. In the late James Gandolfinis last role accompanied by a great actor in Tom Hardy. They both displayed great on screen performances of a local east coast mob. Great tag team duo. I recommend the movie greatly!!!

I saw the movie at the theater and really like it. Rented once and when I saw it at Best Buy for the price they had it had could not pass it up. It is a really good movie if you have not seen it and the end will surprise you. check it out.

This is a well done movie where character developement could have been a bit more fleshed out, but Tom Hardy compensates as a one man thief of scenes as he usually can and does. It's worth watching/buying if not just for his performance.

I couldn't wait for this movie to come out in the theater. I saw it opening night and then took a friend to see it the very next night. It's an amazing movie full of amazing acting and great suspense. I bought this movie so I could have a movie night with friends. They loved it too.

Enjoy watching James Gandolfini and Tom Hardy. Not a big stretch for Gandolfini but he is good at these criminal types. Hardy is a man withdrawn from life. Saves a dog that ends up saving him. Interesting story, worth a watch.

This was a good movie to see Gandolfini in. I will miss his moody,brooding characters. Then he can turn it around and make you laugh in other movies. Good story line, but predictable. I would recomend to those that love Gandolfinis work.

I don't recall this one being released in the theaters so I didn't know anything about it before picking it up. I though it was a really good character driven piece, and I really enjoyed it. I'd rate it a 4.5 stars rather than a 4.

More gritty crime neo-noir from Dennis Lehane, the author of Mystic River, Shutter Island, and Gone Baby Gone. Tom Hardy is exceptional here, same goes for the late, great Gandolifini. More interested in character and moral ambiguity than showy action scenes and needless violence.

Overall, this is a really good movie. Great acting, and an interesting story. The casting is spot-on. I don't know how this movie didn't receive Awards during Awards season. All around, a really good film.

Got this one for my stepfather because he's fearful that his saved digital copy will be erased from the cable box. Now he has another digital AND a physical copy. He loves the movie as he's a hist, Hardy and Gandolfini fan (may he rest in peace).

I was surprised at some of the content of this movie, but have no regrets with the purchase. Ryan Reynolds does an excellent job at bringing Deadpool to life. Plenty of laugh out loud moments and lots of action.

First of all I'm a big Dennis Lehane fan. So my opinion maybe biased, but the movie is pretty much true to the book. James Gandolfini's final movie with the excellent Tom Hardy. Won't spoil the plot for you but either the book or movie you can't go wrong.

The Drop starring Tom Hardy and the late James Gandolfini is a film worth watching. It shows the amazing final performance of James Gandolfini and Tom Hardy's performance is the unraveling of a person at their wits end. A must-see and deserves tons of recognition!

There is nothing too complicated or flashy about the story of this film, but the performances are fantastic and the film as a whole provides a rich experience. As a fan of crime movies and of Tom Hardy, The Drop met all my high hopes for its quality.

If you enjoyed the movie versions of "Mystic River," "Gone, Baby, Gone," "Shutter Island," or "Live by Night," then you'll like this as well. As always, James Gandolfini gives a fine performance.
