Denzel Washington returns to one of his signature roles in the first sequel of his career. This review is for The Equalizer 2 Blu Ray. My dad saw this one at the theater and said it was phenomenal. I wound up getting it for him for Christmas. He has already watched it 3 times this week and just loves it. Basically a more grittier, tougher film that the original with elements of Death Wish, Vigilante, The Exterminator and other revenge type action/adventure flicks from the 80's, 90's etc. This is one to checkout for sure.

Equalizer 2 is cut from the same cloth as one and packs in quite a few punches. It's a delight for action seekers and diehard Washington fans - there's plenty of both to 'equalize' the obvious flaws.

What surprises me is that Densel’s movies are almost always uplifting in the sense that he plays the good guy and shows us that good is better than evil. Most sequels are usually ok but his sequel is as great as the first one. Don’t know if they’ll be a third one but if there is, I’m going to get it.

After having loved the first Equilizer, i was quite excited to see the second one. The plot was a little too predictable. The special effects at the end of the film fail massively.

I really enjoyed the first one and was excited about the sequal. The previews and story line looked SO good! But it was very predictable and the end scenes were just horrible!!

REALLY ENJOYED THE FIRST ONE BUT NUMBER 2 JUST DID NOT HAVE THE SAME ENERGY OR THE SAME LEVEL OF SCRIP WRITING. WORTH WATCHING ONCE PROBABLE NOT A SECOND TIME. I AM BUMMED!

I loved the first Equalizer. I thought the second one was lacking. I felt like it went a little too big for this character. Not terrible but not as good as the first.

Good thing it was a great price. I just did t enjoy it as much as the first. I sure there are those who will disagree but I personally don't believe that it was all that.

I've seen the first Equalizer (2014) and I have always liked everything I have seen Denzel Washington in, from The Pelican Brief to Virtuosity, to Courage Under Fire, to The Siege to John Q, Man on Fire and Deja Vu and each of his performances I've seen have been PHENOMENAL and as Robert McCall, the character from the series, it is no different

I searched for my favorite action movies on Amazon expecting the best price and quick delivery. I checked www.BestBuy.com when they were more than I expected. It’s a okay movie was expecting a lot more action, there was to much talking in it. Characters were good as well, I would recommend it to friends and family.

This movie is in the same vein as the first Equalizer, but falls a bit short for quality plot and execution. I wanted to love this as much as the first, but this movie falls victim to the sequel syndrome. Still a great movie, but more as an accessory to seeing the first movie, and then you want to keep the series going. Stand alone, not as good as #1, but as the sequel, not bad at all!

Denzel Washington was definitely at it again in E2. I know that some of the movie goers didn't give good reviews & I don't know why ... especially if you like the continuation of Robert McCall's storyline from the 1st film. Also a great reunion of sorts with Director Antoine Fuqua & Denzel. The 4K movie is great ... Awesome Video & Audio throughout!

I think that "The Equalizer 2" was one of the greatest action films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite action films of all-time. Denzel Washington was amazing in this film and I also think that "The Equalizer 2" has a lot of entertaining, exciting and enjoyable action, mystery and suspense including an exciting and original storyline.

Giving this a very high review because you really should check it out, even if you weren't a huge fan of the first one. There are some terrific action sequences here, especially the car fight. Story may not be perfect, but Denzel holds it together.

If you liked "The Equalizer" it's very likely that you will like this one too. Great movie on it's own merits, not just hanging on the coat-tails of the first one, but has a good intelligent story of it's own. The image quality of the UHD 4K transfer is excellent, superior to the standard Blu-ray transfer.

Denzel really never disappoints. In The Equalizer 2, he tries to follow-up with a performance that could out-do the first one. We all know that is hard to do, but Denzel really does a good job at it. My wife and I stayed interested throughout the whole movie and it was a purchase we don't regret. I recommend buying this movie!

What I got was a ton of fantastic action, excellent martial arts fight scenes, some good gun and knife stunt footage, great trap set ups, and Denzel Washington's endless amount of sharp high class mixed with cool style we usually get with his performances. So I have to give this movie thumbs up, with a grade of A, hope to see more of this franchise.
