If you are looking for a hero redeemed through a whole lot of violence thriller not many do it better than Denzel. This is another where he gives a lot more depth to a character that most actors would just follow the numbers for. Denzel shows off just how great an actor he is with films like this, and there is no one I would rather watch taking revenge on a group of gangsters.

Fans of the tv show might be a little disappointed, as much of the movie is really setup to get McCall to the same place the tv show operated from, but it's still an entertaining action movie. the set pieces are excellent and Denzel is terrific. Would have liked a little more of a tie to the show, but seen as a prequel to the design of the show it fits.

How can anyone complain about a Denzel movie? I had never seen Equalizer 1 but saw the sequel in theatres and loved it. I bought this copy not realizing I already owned one and had to bring it back.

This movie was easily one of the best action movies of 2014!!! Very realistic & demonstrating military style martial arts tactics. Densel does a great job in this role. Im certain this will be one of my favorite films for years to come!

As my husband is a little older than me and more familiar with The Equalizer from back in the day, he was the one who purchased this movie. However, I really enjoyed it myself. It's probably one of my favorite Denzel Washington movies.

I was a fan of the TV series so I anxiously waited for the story to be made a movie. I was not disappointed. The Equalizer has replaced "Man on Fire" as my favorite Denzel action movie. And Best Buy remains my single source for movies.

This movie was an unexpected surprise. It is about a quiet man who ends up helping a young girl who is "property" of a mobster. The movie has drama and comedy. It is a movie that gives the underdogs and regular guys boosts!

This is a great action adventure movie, where good triumphs over evil! Where someone stands up for the "little guy", after being provoked on several occasions. Denzel's acting ability shines brightly as he plays the underdog's hero!

In this movie Denzel Washington plays a former special agent that is just trying to live a normal life. Without giving away too much, he is not successful in doing this. I would recommend this movie to any Denzel or action movie fan !

Denzel Washington did an amazing job in this adaptation of The Equalizer. It's not all action, but gives a deeper look into the character and why he became who he is.

He is such a very good actor and this movie is well worth watching waiting to see the second one to see if that is as good or better and see if the story follows I wonder if there will be another

I like this design, it is simple but effective and I like the material they used to build the steel it doesn't show finger printing. I also love the movie and I hope the sequel gets a cool steel too!

Great movie, I am so glad I bought it. I did not know it was based on an old TV show. This is not a typical revenge movie. The main character just want to do the right thing but everyone sees him as a push over, how wrong they are.

I was surprised by how clean the movie played and how the steel book looked awesome. First time seeing this great movie and would recommend buying it in steel book if you prefer sturdy and reliable case.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said about the genius of Denzel Washington? Great film, full of action and great acting. Very entertaining.

This is definitely a great movie. We actually need people like this in real life. Great storyline and great acting. I expect nothing less of Denzel Washington.

Great movie all the way around. DW was good as a mysterious good guy that is kind of bad and the script was pretty good holding the story and characters together as well. Good guy watch and/or action flick for date night.

...and this is one of them. While Denzel Washington is not reaching out of his usual comfort zone as a too-cool-to-bothered type, the movie has some great scenes and seeing bad guys get what they have coming is always fun to see.

I have always enjoyed most of Denzel Washington's movies, but this one may be my favorite. Starts a little slow as they set up the situation, but once the action starts, it is almost non-stop.

Denzel does not disappoint when it comes to playing a real tough character. Definitely somebody you wouldn't want to mess with. Loved this movie so much I have already watched it twice. Great acting, and lots and lots of action.
