The Fifth Element brought to another level on 4k
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into this blind and I must say I've been missing out all these years. Great performances by the cast in an all out crazy film. The 4k transfer is great as well and has probably one the best uses of HDR that I've seen on any disc.

Stunning, visually inventive film
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A jaw-dropping, mind-blowing pop epic that gives you everything from slam-bang sci-fi fantasy to inspired slapstick lunacy. It is visually inventive and gleefully over the top, The Fifth Element is a fantastic piece of pop sci-fi that never takes itself too seriously. And NOW in 4k it has knock out of this world a film that already was beautiful and stunning.

Excellent re-mastered version with nice sound mix
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, this movie is an very interesting fast packed action and futuristic movie that was underrated at the time of its original release. This re-mastered version brings excellent video and audio quality. I do not have atmos set up but with my 5.1 set up I was very much pleased with the main soundtrack and the mix. This is definitely a keeper for any blu-ray enthusiasts.

Great blu-ray!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a flawed movie, but I consistently overlook the flaws and find myself falling in love again with this crazy, entertaining, funny and whimsical film. The blu-ray does a nice job of presenting the film, perhaps not to the degree the audiophile/videophile community would like, but there is nothing that gets in the way of the fun ride this movie is.

Same 'ol Fifth Element, but now with extras
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the movie (who doesn't), but now we have all those extras that have not been seen for decades, finally in HD. This edition is long, long, loooonnnnng overdue. You can now get rid of the DVD, and the three previous Blu-ray editions that you bought, while waiting for this one, and save some shelf space.

BZZZ! BZZZZZZZZ!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This movie's awesome. The plot is as thin as LeeLoo's bandages, but it's funny as heck, a beaut to the eyes AND ears (oh, that opera scene) and just... FUN. Also one of the most quotable films of all time. And what other filmmaker aside from Luc Besson would cast Tiny Lister as the president of the PLANET? NONE, that's who. Come for the comedic action, stay for the Zorg. And just remember: NEVER press the red button. PS: these latest upgrades from Sony are gangbusters. I'm not ready to go 4k yet, but these will do until I am.

The cleanest yet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I realize that The Fifth Element isn't a new feature, but this 4K treatment is pretty darned good. I'm not sure what kind of re-mastering that this film received....in fact, I'm not sure that they did one. Artifacts exist, it's not perfectly clean. It's cleaner than my Blu-Ray copy, but it's not perfect. This is an excellent film and deserves not only a fully blown re-master but a sequel. But as neither are likely, you should be as happy as possible with this latest release in 4K. Don't spend a fortune on it if you have the Blu-Ray version, it's only a bit better, but if you don't, get it!

Grab your Multi Pass and...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.come along for the ride as Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich travel the universe and have all kinds of zany fun doing so. SciFi, Action, Adventure, and Comedy all come together in a highly entertaining mix that keeps your attention from start to finish. The blu-ray video/audio quality plus the really cool steelbook case make this a must buy. Highly recommended!

A Sci-Fi Classic now even better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is such a campy sci-fi classic. I've been watching the DVD version for so long, and I saw this version for an awesome price. It's so much better with this higher resolution. Also, this steelbox version looks awesome! I highly recommend getting this version if you're a fan, and if you haven't seen it before then the price is a small hurdle to cross!

Whee Doggie!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4K picture, New Dolby Atmos sound mix and all of the great special features from the 2005 Superbit DVD release are on this blu-ray! And a specialized package too, so beautiful it will make a man cry! Very highly recommended! If only Sony will give "Last Action Hero" the same treatment!!! Make it happen!!!!!!

Kicked-Up To A New Level
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So much has been said in the past about this firm - cheesy, lack of a substantial plot, Gary Oldman's strange southern Texas style accent, weak CGI's. However, being mastered to a 4K UHD Blu-ray has made the whole film much better to view and accept all of the weaknesses. The 4K presentation is jaw dropping compared to prior 1080P DVD's. It is worth every penny.

Atmos sound mix in this version
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many other fans of this movie, I've seen it a billion times. I just happened upon it one Saturday in Best Buy and as is typical, do a quick browse on the back cover to see if it's Dolby True HD or Dolby Atmos, and scored big as it's in Dolby Atmos! Interestingly, it was the most expensive Bluray I bought that day, and all the other movies were only a year or so old at the most.

Worth the purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this movie in DVD and blu-ray formats but I was fascinated by the 4K release. And in steel book to boot. I would say the images are much improved from what I remember from the blu-ray edition. I did not need to review the blu-ray disc since watching the 4K version, I just realized how much better the mountains, desert and terrain really looked on 4K.

Great remastered version
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this at a great price. Otherwise i'd gone with the 4k edition. Great video/audio quality, you can really tell the studio did its homework with the transfer. Not a 4k marvel but it sure does its best for the 1080p format. So I recommend it with confidence

Outstanding
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding version of this movie. Video quality and sound are top notch! I watched this on an Xbox One S , at 4k with hdr on and 5.1 sound and it was a geat way to spend a couple hours. Also, this move holds up extremely well but I must say my favorite thing about this was the packaging. The box art is stunning. Just buy this and be happy with your purchase!!

Beautiful, even with "just" BluRay on a 40" 4k TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GREAT, classic sci-fi movie, and it looks SO good, even when it's played with the BluRay disc version on my 40" 4k Samsung TV through a Samsung BluRay/DVD home theater system. I can only imagine how amazing it would look if i played the 4k Ultra HD version disc in a proper 4k Ultra HD BluRay player... well, I'll know by the end of the year. ;)

Decent Movie Overplayed
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sci-fi aspects were on-point, but the persistent annoying screams from one of the characters did the opposite. Completely unnecessary and overplayed, they detracted from the enjoyment.

Its the 5th ELEMENT!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have seen this movie over a dozen times and have purchased it on DVD and Blu-ray over the years. The movie looks the best it has ever looked and having a digital copy is nice. The only that is bugging me is when I pre-ordered it the webpage said I was supposed to get 5 dollars worth in points which I still have not yet gotten. So that has been bugging me...

Flying cab driver must help save the world
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good movie from the '90's, especially for Bruce Willis fans. He's a cab driver that unwittingly becomes central in the search for The Fifth Element, a weapon to keep the Great Evil from destroying the world. He finds that a young woman who falls into his cab is the embodiment of the Fifth Element. Lots of SciFi action as he seeks to protect her.
