The quality is still a bit grainy, but they did a decent job upgrading the visuals. This movie is such a classic and such a great find. I'm always so excited to add to my 4K collection.

A movie you can watch over again and never gets old

A great (re)addition to the video library. Great transfer from film, a noticeable upgrade from the DVD collection. Sharp colors, crisp with much better details. 5.1 surround is a nice touch, not sure that I really noticed it, and confess I haven't watch them all the way through yet. Great bonus materials, although the deleted scenes (which are presented in chronological order, nice touch) are all in 4:3 and lower resolution. Truly two great films, with an admittedly over-long and meandering finale, but you have to wrap the story up. Enjoy!

If you are a fan of “The Godfather” Series this is the collection to get. Great Soundtrack. Great quality. Best Buy rocks - they did a pretty big Price Match!

One of the best American films ever made, the multi-generational crime saga The Godfather is a touchstone of cinema: one of the most widely imitated, quoted, and lampooned movies of all time. Marlon Brando and Al Pacino star as Vito Corleone and his youngest son, Michael, respectively. It is the late 1940s in New York and Corleone is, in the parlance of organized crime, a "godfather" or "don," the head of a Mafia family. Michael, a free thinker who defied his father by enlisting in the Marines to fight in World War II, has returned a captain and a war hero.

As I had already owned the VHS and then the DVD (two different releases) of the trilogy I was a bit hesitant to plunk down again for teh Blu-ray version. I read a few ohter reviews and decided to go ahead and shell out another $30 to see for my self. Indeed the restoration is stunning! The DVD releases did not do these masterpieces (1&2) justice. If you don't own at least parts one and two what is wrong with you. IF you do the restoration is worth buying it again. It was truly a pleaseure seeing these films restored to their full GREATNESS!

Had never watched full series of movies. Liked 1st and 2nd more than 3rd which was harder to follow.

If you love the Godfather movies, this collection is for you. Each movie in the set has been remastered and looks gorgeous. You get a newfound appreciation for the cinematography and direction of the movies... even Part III. And the extras as so indepth and great. If you own the movies on DVD, consider upgrading for the better presentation and new special features. If better visual quality isn't important to you, consider it for new special features. Overall, a great box set.

This restored package is the finest quality you can get of Godfather I and II. Not only is it on Blu Ray but the first two movies are restored to 4K quality and it is FFC director's cut as well. With current technology, it doesn't get any better than this. You won't be disappointed. My only criticism is of the packaging itself. It comes with a small booklet that is attached to the outside of the box with gummy adhesive, easily removed without damage, but it's too big to fit inside the box with the plastic cases.

There's really no point wasting time or space reviewing the Godfather Trilogy. There is a reason that Parts 1 and 2 are considered two of the greatest films ever made. While part 3 was a letdown, it's inclusion is inoffensive. The picture quality is as good as can be expected. The graininess in some scenes is inherent in the film, and if you understand this going in you won't be disappointed. If you love The Godfather, do yourself a favor and get this wonderful restoration.

This movie and title doesn't need any introduction or description to the true testimony of a classic film about the itallion mob or true American gangsters. This is such a masterpiece of work, art, etc... the performances of all these huge Hollywood stars while they were young and in there prime stands the test of time. Nothing but a masterpiece!

With the additional footage made available in The Godfather Trilogy, you gain even more amazing insight into the heart, soul & mind of the original Mafia Families. I’ve watched The Godfather over & over for years - very entertaining .. my favorite .. this added information brings you even deeper into their personal lives & ultimate family destruction. Survival of the “fittest mind”, loyal friendships & family devotion.

The Godfather Trilogy is among one of the best in cinema (including the admittedly inferior third movie) and this Blu-Ray is easily the best way to watch them. Some may not know this, but the film strips to the first two movies were damaged resulting in some smudgy scenes. Now with today's technology, they managed to fix every little texture, bit by bit. If you're a fan of film, buy this set; it's well worth the money.

It's hard to argue with the perfection that is the Godfather trilogy. Seriously, don't argue. You might end up at the bottom of a river. This tale is something that will remain an American classic both from a plot/movie enjoyment standpoint and a writing/cinematography/acting standpoint. Great to see it all updated on Blu-Ray. If you don't have this collection, and you consider yourself a movie buff, you should probably either reconsider or go buy it now.
