Great collection of two great films and one decent film.

Been looking for the collection we wanted to have them all in a set

JUST WISHED IT WAS 16X9 THEATER AND NOT THE 16X9 FOR THE TV

Was watching the first two online and they didn't have subtitles, and couldn't find the last one so decided to get the collection. Classic.

the print is good considering it was not originally shot in hd. the packaging is great. not in chronologic order.

I hadn't seen these movies in a while but the box set was on sale, so I jumped. Great to watch them again. The stores, the acting, the sheer movie-making still holds up, although for a Blu-Ray, the print quality and ratio were not up to snuff, which disappointed.

These movies are classics and belong in every library.

Bought this item and it arrived damaged. They sent me another one and it was in even worse condition than the first one. Then they said they couldnt ship it to me a 3rd time. Wow. Other than that, great movie.

the resolution on the second and third movies is horrible. Such a shame. Please do not buy this set

Have all loved the godfather movies and was glad to get them on blu-ray

We had to buy the collection on Blu-Ray. The Godfather is always a must to keep on quality. Next is UHD 4K

I love these movies...mostly the first two but I can watch the third anytime as well. Some of the best acting you'll see in any movie, period. The first two movies are just one long classic scene...perfection. If you buy the Bluray you'll be watching the best version of these movies yet. Don't expect to show off your high-def system with these because the source film is over 30 years old. However, you can tell that A LOT of time went into this latest production and most of the vintage look is intentional. In my opinion, the Godfather shouldn't be seen any other way.

There's a reason parts 1 and 2 both won Best Movie Oscars. Seriously, those two movies are nearly perfect. (The only noticeable mistake is when Sonny is kicking the s**t out of Carlo in the street and he obviously misses his chin by about a foot, but I can overlook that). The story line is intriguing, the acting is superb, the characters are well developed, the cinematography is excellent, and the directing is great. Add to that a beautifully haunting soundtrack and these movies rank among the best ever made. The third is not quite up to the same standard as the first two but watched in order it offers a valid resolution to the series. I've watched these movies so many times but seeing them on Blu-ray is an entirely new experience. Gorgeous, simply gorgeous.

The story begins as "Don" Vito Corleone, the head of a New York Mafia "family", oversees his daughter's wedding. His beloved son Michael has just come home from the war, but does not intend to become part of his father's business. Through Michael's life the nature of the family business becomes clear. The business of the family is just like the head of the family, kind and benevolent to those who give respect, but given to ruthless violence whenever anything stands against the good of the family. Don Vito lives his life in the way of the old country, but times are changing and some don't want to follow the old ways and look out for community and "family". An up and coming rival of the Corleone family wants to start selling drugs in New York, and needs the Don's influence to further his plan. The clash of the Don's fading old world values and the new ways will demand a terrible price...and that is just the 1st movie.
