I love the first two Godfather films. I could watch them both over and over. The third one..eh not so much. Its not bad, just awkward and not very compatible with the first two. Probably because it was made about 15 years after the second Godfather. Nonetheless, the first two films are enough for me to score this a five. The blu-ray transfer is ok. Its a huge improvement over the previous dvd releases, and as one of the reviews before me stated, it is meant to have that vintage look to it. I would recommend this to all, even though I kind of wish I would have waited until they released the films seperately so I could avoid the third installment; which I myself like to pretend never happened.

If you are reading this you are looking into buying this set. Im not going to comment on the movies itself because we all know that the movies are great.. okay at least 2 of them are. If you are expecting true HD blu-ray quality that you find in modern movies, then you are going to be dissapointed. The first movie was filmed in 1971-1972 meaning there were no HD cameras at the time. They do a good job of cleaning up the picture and sound, but its still DVD quality. If you absolutely have to have the blu ray version, by all means pick up this collection but know you are getting DVD quality, but if you are not the type to have blu-ray, then the DVD collection will do just fine.

The Godfather Series (I-III) is without doubt the greatest trilogy to be placed on film. Add a bonus disc that includes interviews; behind the scenes footage, deleted scenes and much more and you have a collector’s edition. Put it on Blu-Ray and you have a fantastic experience. Many scenes were filmed in dark settings (to set mood), however VHS, Laserdisc and even standard DVD did not do justice to the experience. The Blu-Ray version however blew me away.

The Godfather Collection a number 1 boxset to add to your blu-ray collection. Watching this is wow, with non stop great acting and plot, when watching this is high definition you would never think that the first 2 movies where made in the 70s. All together there all great movies and a must so get yours now!

The Godfather Collection's Edition is without doubt the greatest trilogy to be placed on film - especially in the blu-ray format. Watching the deleted scenes and the commentaries put it over the top. Experiencing these films in blu-ray format made me feel like I had watched them for the first time all over again.

Classic brought back more colorful and sharp. But keep in mind it is not what most would consider True HD as it is a little soft and grainy, but I think it is what the director wanted. It is beautiful and should be owned by every movie lover.

Ive bought the whole godfather series when I was in Korea and while in Iraq I love the series on my blu ray player on my ps3.... Its brought back with magnificent color that pops out at u...instead of the dingy camera color its a all new scheme from start to finish...

Two movies that are arguably the greatest in American cinema, and a third that, while still good, fails to live up to the first two. Everything that has ever been said about The Godfather has already been said. Great picture quality after the touch-ups Coppola helped oversee. Highly recommended.

The Godfather is one of the greatest movies ever made, plus you get The Godfather 2 which is another fantastic movie. While I don't like The Godfather 3 nearly as much as the first two, you get it with the collection as well plus a directors/behind-the-scenes disc.

Great film, great blu-ray set. I think they've since released a better version but this is great for now & I picked it up as a special offer for about $20. Be sure to listen to Coppola's commentaries for each film, they're some of the best you'll ever hear, the man's a filmmaking genius.

A classic trilogy, including one of the greatest movies all time, now on blu ray, there is minimal grain, transfer is pristine with some additional bonus features but mostly contains the bonus features released earlier. This is a must for any godfather fan, highly recommended.

I have been wanting to buy this collection for a long time and finally did it today. Just finish watching the first movie and the quality is really good for a movie that was made in the 70's. Definitely one of the must have collection.

What can I say about The Godfather that has not been said already? The picture and audio are far superior to television and DVD quality. The extras are interesting, entertaining and plentiful. You will not be disappointed with this re-release of these masterpieces.

Francis Ford Coppola is a genius and is to be commended for all 3 films. I love the whole series and was grateful to get the Blu-ray set at a discount when I did. Al Pacino and the whole cast really play their roles well and I enjoy watching them over and over.

Any Blu-Ray collection would be incomplete without this trilogy! 1 & 2 are two of the best films of all time. This is the best these movies have ever looked, and definitely worth the pick up (even if you already have the DVD)! Great slim packaging too.

One of the finest releases to own and a must-have for any movie collector. Great picture, great sound, and plenty of special features (especially the Coppola commentaries). You have to add this set to your blu-ray collection.

The first two Godfathers are easily on my top 10 list of best movies of all time. The transfers on these films are amazing. The extras are plentiful. This is one of the easiest recommendations that I've ever given.

I was looking for this 'master piece' and then Best Buy send me an irresistible offer into 'deal of the day' email. The Blue-Ray set with a much better price than the DVD one - I could not miss that opportunity.

This is one of the greatest trilogys of all time. The first 2 films are masterpieces! Legendary cinema made that much better with the blu ray transfer. Looks and sounds fantastic on blu ray.
