My son and daughter both enjoyed the movie, we saw it in the theater first and they were excited when it came out on disc. So, following many other kids movies, formulaically, the one of the main characters parents died tragically near the beginning. Once your past that unfortunate event, the rest of the movie stays pretty light and funny.

There were very similar key moments in which the film reminded me of The Lion King. If you like The Lion King (reimagined without musical numbers), you might enjoy The Good Dinosaur. I found the film to be very mature in tone, which was very unexpected given the style of the characters. It's a great film for the whole family! :)

I originally bought this movie for our 2 year old daughter for Christmas this year (I wanted to start shopping early). She LOVES dinosaurs, which is why I thought it would be perfect for one of her gifts. When I told my husband I bought it, he insisted we open it and watch it. We did and it's the new Frozen!

It's sad when you see that this is Pixar's least successful film, because it is truly enjoyable. From the absolutely beautiful scernery they created, to the engaging characters, the movie was enjoyable from beginning to end. If you are a fan of Disne and Pixar films, and have yet to see The Good Dinosaur, it is definitely worth picking up. It may not hit the level of the Toy Story films, Wall-E or Up, but it definitely deserves a place in your collection.

I was not thrilled about this movie because of the “rewriting history” concept of “what if the comet missed Earth” that is the premise of the movie. That being said... I love this movie!!! My little girl is almost 4 and she has been watching it her whole life. It is her go to bed movie.

I always purchase the Blue Ray / DVD combo pack. We use our Xbox One in the living room as our Blue Ray player and our old Xbox in the bedroom with the DVD player giving us two options for our 2 year old son to watch the movies he likes. Buying the combo pack is also cheaper than buying two separate movies. Cute movie BTW!

This movie came out and I was not sure how it would be received. The kids loved it and we did too. It is a good story, without too much violence. It is a bit sad and has some violence, but done well and with some life learning experiences. Try it, I think you and your young ones (4 or 5 years old and older) will enjoy it.

First it is a great computer animated movie with a good storyline and a lot of adult humor in it. Graphics and CG have gotten so great these days it almost looks realistic (the backgrounds and scenery). The only reason that I took one star off was because the movie has kind of a sad story line with a happy ending which I didn't find that great for my two-year-old son (sad---happy---sad---happy). For older children and adults it is a fantastic movie.

I wanted to see this movie because one of our friends son watched it over and over. Now that I have seen it I can see why. Disney should take note and make more movies like this one. Looking forward to watching it again and again.

The artwork on this latest batch of Pixar steels is every bit as beautiful as the films themselves. Vibrant colors, rich detail, and it tells you everything you need to know about the film just by looking at it. Any Pixar fan needs this on their shelf!

Haven’t seen the movie yet, but hen steelbook was just too nice to pass up! Looking forward to watching it in 4K though and I know quality wise these Pixar releases have been top notch. Just hope I enjoy the movie, haha.

I was extremely impressed how fast Best Buy delivered! I bought this movie for my grandson! We had watched it on tv together and it was a hit! I wanted him to be able to watch it when he wanted to instead of waiting until it was on tv again!

It's not one of Pixar's strongest films, but I really enjoyed the Good Dinosaur. It has a fun central idea, the character design is super cute, the background visuals are wonderful, and I appreciated the story of Arlo confronting his anxiety. Recommended for kids who love dinosaurs.

My kids were so excited to see this movie after they saw the previews for it. We went and saw it in theaters and kind of wish we had waited till we were at home. My older child is four and he did OK with the movie but my younger child was scared in some parts. The only part I didn't like was there's a pterodactyl who actually eats a poor little animal they just saved. That was kind of shocking but other than that the movie is pretty cute.

Finally a movie that touches on some more realistic family tragedies that are impossible to avoid, (Like losing a love ones). It also shows triumphs to over come to accept ourselves, the bond of family, and the strength in friendships even though we may not be the same species. A must for any family!

I am glad that I bought the 3D version of this movie, and my 11 years old enjoy the 3D a lot with me. The storyline somewhat reminds me about Finding Nemo, and it's great for a parent like me to watch together with my kid. I am very happy that we find another movie we can enjoy together, and it's in 3D!

A real good and funny movie for the family although I have it in blu ray, I wanted the 4K version, also in booksteel, unfortunately the people doing shipments is not taking care of the fragile of these. Mine came a little bent , cause they used a regular envelope , so now that stores are close it’s a bit dificult for me to get an exchange

the movie picture is crisp and color is amazing with blue and red is so pop out like in 3d. I like the story with a touch of love and courage from the boy and his companion . It a must buy movie if you want collection for your library.

The Good Dinosaur is a good movie. The tale of Caveman and Dinosaurs is dynamic and interesting. The story tells of a Dinosaur trying to make his way after the death of his father. An unsuspecting friend in the form of a little Cave Boy, helps to save the day. A must see for all who like friendship!

This movie was very good overall, the only part that I would say would lower this from five stars is the typical 'sad' moment in the movie that causes the main character to venture out or go on a quest. Don't want to ruin the movie by stating the 'sad' event but my four year old refused to watch the movie after this event even though it helped get the movie going. Still, overall good movie but be ready for some sadness.
