It’s so funny at times and has an amazing adventure

The Goonies arrives on Blu-Ray with this Best Buy exclusive steelbook. The packaging of the steelbook is nice and it has a glossy finish. The front of the steelbook has a skull on it with the title of the movie and the characters carved into the skull. On the back of the steelbook we have the saying from the movie; Goonies Never Say Die. The inside of the steelbook reveals the disc (which has no art on it) and the insert with the information on how to redeem your digital copy. The movie looks and sounds great on blu-ray and the extra features are very cool. If you are a fan of movies and you don't already own it, definitely be sure to add this release to your collection!

A very great movie filled with humor & action!!!!!!!

I don't remember the movie very well and I have not seen it again since I bought it, so I can't say much of it, I just know it's a classic and worth the price.

What do economic recession, a treasure hunt, making new friends, and battling a criminal syndicate have in common? The young characters in this film will discover that new friends are sometimes needed in combating the many arms of a society that may not be changing for the best for everyone. On an epic treasure hunt these friends show what is needed to overcome many obstacles and survive the onslaught of criminals who will stop at nothing from being discovered. Two things can be taken away from watching this film: first, never say die, and second, beware of the octopus.

The disc is the same as the big box blu-Ray release a few years ago. Extras and all. The only difference is the steelbook which looks great.

I bought this for my kids because I remember watching this movie as a kid myself every time it aired on t.v., but even after watching it so many times, I couldn't remember anything about it. After watching it again decades later with my kids, I gotta say I remember why I loved, & still love this movie. My kids & I absolutely loved all the comedy & adventure, & I liked that it also came with the "Goonies r good enough" music video as a bonus. I had forgotten all about that Cindy Lauper song, so it was nice to hear it again. If you're looking for a fun family movie then Goonies is a great one at a great price. For those who haven't seen this movie, it's about a group of kids who get their hands on a treasure map & go on an adventure to find the treasure & save their home.

Directed by Richard Donner, produced by Steven Spielberg and written by Chris Columbus, there isn't much I can say about this 80's classic. Sadly there are no new special features added to the existing blu-ray release of the film. However the beautiful spot-gloss SteelBook will be a nice addition to your collection, What you get: A brand new 4K UHD disc of the film. The existing Blu-Ray release with its legacy features. A 4K digital code of the film. I will always recommend a SteelBook version of any film to be added to your collection, this is a nice one.

Fun fun fun fun. What more can I say about this movie? This particular steelbook is a must have with the simple yet powerful steel art.

Everyone should have this movie in their collection. Saw it on sale in had to have it. Brought back memories. Movie is in a Beautiful Steelcase. The movie itself if you haven't seen it. What rock have you been buried under the last 35 years. The story is from Steven Spielberg. Bunch of kids go looking for a treasure from a pirate named one eye willy. So they can try in saved the town from getting bulldoze. Parents should make their kids watch it. Make it a family night. Only thing i regret is not getting the 4K version. Must own, Movie is a Masterpiece.

If you don’t like the goonies then we can’t be friends, definitely a classic and one of the most light hearted Halloween movies

After my first copy arrived damaged, I finally got to sit down and watch The Goonies in its new 4K transfer. Overall I am very pleased with its color grade and restoration efforts. Though the bluray transfer is much brighter, it doesn't compare to the darker tones the film was obviously shot in and thus,this feels more accurate to how it originally looked in the theater when it debuted. Not a perfect transfer like say Flash Gordon's 4k transfer, but still incredibly well done and a happy addition to my library.

What a trip down memory lane. As I watched this movie I realized I had forgotten so much about it.

One of the iconic movies from the 80's. Looks great on my Sony 4k television. Still a great movie.
