I think this is without a doubt, one of the greatest films of all time. An excellent thought out film by the legendary movie maker, Steven Spielberg. It’s hilarious, mysterious, memorable, and full of excellent performances. It’s timeless and will never be forgotten.

What a snapshot of an 80s childhood! This film could have been a colossal mess, but instead, Director Richard Donner captured lightning in a bottle. Truly likeable kids on a Spielbergian pirate adventure plays like a modern throwback to the Little Rascals. A modern classic if ever there was one. Still holds up because of its timeless appeal and gusto.

I almost forgot how much fun this movie is! It is a great, whimsical story that your entire family can enjoy. The story covers many powerful subjects - family, home, self acceptance and the acceptance of those who are different.....and growing up. Your family will laugh, cover your eyes....laugh again...and perhaps shed a tear. Goonies is a Steven Spielberg family classic.

Great treasure hunt story funny and entertaining kids in the eighties didn’t have cellphones and all this technology to keep them occupied we actually used our imagination for fun and adventure

I’m not a big fan of this film, but I wanted to own the steelbook which is cool. I don’t think this film has aged well, but I think kids will enjoy it. Slap stick comedy, that I suppose for its time worked. Basic plot is kids find a treasure map, and decide to look for it. But they’re not the only ones. Extras are the usual for older films, original documentary, and interviews. If you’re a fan then you’ll find a lot to enjoy. Otherwise I would suggest digital download or rental.

This purchase was to replace an old VHS tape since those players are getting hard to find. Great fun to see all these kids when they were kids - and the movie is just great famiy fun! Even the "monster" turns out to be lovable. Some of the scenic shots are really pretty - even if it doesn't look too much like the Astoria, Oregon I remember...

This is still a great movie for the young and the young at heart. I highly recommend it and to add more flavor to the flick, I suggest you watch the 35th cast reunion on YouTube. Very highly recommend. Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.

I was actually a bit surprised that the 4K transfer worked as well as it did. With older movies, the transfers tend to have a lackluster outcome but this one did not disappoint! The steelbook is also quite beautiful. Simple...yet beautiful.

Goonies is a classic. I'm sure I already owned this when I bought it yet again on an impulse buy at the checkout counter for a couple bucks, but my girlfriend's daughter was having a sleepover and we needed a couple kid friendly movies to keep them entertained. The Goonies were a big hit. Where's that sequel they keep talking about?

I'm not in love with the exterior artwork but I have to give two thumbs up for the UHD presentation. I think this is a big improvement over the previous Blu Ray release. Definitely pick this one up even if it's not the steelbook!

Son and I loved the movie. I had seen it many times before, his first time and was into it. Hard case is just what I wanted. Looks so cool. Digital copy on my phone immediately. Great classic keeper no matter what people say!

I know there is a bigger collectors edition of this movie, but for me, this steelbook is the ultimate version. This movie has never looked better to my over 50 year old eyes. Brings back great memories! Highly recommended.

The Goonies is a really fun watch especially when updated on the blu ray format! If you like this film, this blu ray is the best way to experience it in terms of picture/sound. The collectible steelbook is also a nice bonus for collectors.

Classic! The Goonies movie has it all - mystery, adventure, heroes, villains, humor, & suspense. I've seen this movie several times and couldn't help myself from owning it. It is an instant classic!

One of the best 80's movies, period. One of my top 10. The Bluray is well worth getting over DVD. Sound is the largest leap over DVD, but the picture quality is not too bad either. Pop some popcorn, put this in the player, gather the family (introduce this to the new generation of kids!) and enjoy movie night!!

I love The Goonies! It’s such a great fun family film you can watch anytime if you’re feeling nostalgic! I personally enjoy watching this movie when it’s gloomy outside and I don’t wanna do anything except relax ;)

This is a review of the Goonies movie on DVD. Quality and packaging was fine. My kids and I have always enjoyed this movie. I was really pleased to receive it. Now we can pop some popcorn and watch it anytime we want. :)

Looks good on Blu Ray. If you're buying it, chances are you have already seen it so there's no surprises. Ship time from the website was great as well. Sloth love Chunk. Did you know Data is now a stunt corrdinator? Worked on Xmen(2000), Chunks a lawyer, and the older brother was young K in MIB 3.

Feels odd watching it now knowing about the pedophilia in Hollywood and these kids were around 11ish, but still a good movie. Glad they released a 4k steelbook too. Came in great condition, no dings or dents

HEY YOU GUYS! I got this for my with for Christmas b/c she had never seen it which is blasphemy. She enjoyed this 80's gem . My only gripe is that I wanted it in Blu-Ray, but my local BB only had it in DVD. So I'm taking it back...I'm taking 'em all back.
