This film is gorgeously shot and directed. I was a little skeptical when I bought this film, but then I was surprised of how funny and entertaining it actually is. The characters alone are so compelling that you just want to see were they take the story.

If you enjoy director Wes Anderson's films, this one's essential. As soon as I finished, I was ready to rewatch. Not sure what an extended edition would offer, but it's a beautiful looking film, and with more heart than usual.

Beautifully directed film by Wes Anderson who has an amazing eye for detail and visually capturing "a moment" in his films. His style is not for everybody, but I thoroughly enjoyed this film and I highly recommend that the casual moviegoer gives this movie a chance.

It was something about the Grand Budapest Hotel that struck a nerve with me the strange humor quirky looks and whacked out sense of humor beat me cry with laughter. I love Ralph Fiennes British which he sneaks in a lot of back and the conference with smooth finese.

I love all of his films as they have a very whimsical and lighthearted feel to them. The well know actors are usually playing characters unlike we have seen them act before. You can always tell you are watching one of his movies as they are very colorful and have great locations with a specific style to the cinematography.

Wes Anderson's latest movie is as stylish as his other films, this one probably more so. Ralph Fiennes is superb as the main character. If you're a fan of Wes Anderson, you must check it out. Beautifully shot. Can watch again and again and find something new each time.

Another great film by Wes. Great, quirky tale as always. And Best Buy did a heck of a job shipping this to me in no time. Estimate was roughly a week, but I had it in about 4 days INCLUDING the thanksgiving holiday weekend. Impressed

The grand Budapest hotel is simply a great movie.. Wes Anderson's films are colorful and witty.. His movies aren't the type of movies that stupid thugs go and see.. When you go to see one of his movies, there's nobody yelling at the screen, wink wink, catch my drift.

I did not know what to expect going into this movie, but I was thoroughly pleased with it. It was funny and the performances were amazing. The different aspect ratios were also a great touch.

Super funny-- lots of dry humor about a young orphan engendered to learn *all* of the intricacies of this beloved old hotel. Told from his POV as an old man, looking back on his life's adventures. Lots of unexpected cameos by various uncredited actors.

Great film! Wes Anderson is an amazing filmmaker. When directing and writing he brings amazing nuance to everything, whether it be the sets or the dialogue. He has such as sense of style and substance. He is a talent to the film industry. Watch all his films!

Interesting movie. Hard to follow at times but good

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Wes Anderson's delightful film "The Grand Budapest Hotel" on Blu-ray. It won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) and was nominated in the Academy Awards for Best Picture.

Even though I am a fan of all movies by Wes Anderson, this movie stands on its own. The story writing, the scenery, the characters... so enchanting. Adventure, comedy and romance beautifully balanced to make a movie you soon won't forget.

I adore this movie. It was the first Wes Anderson I've seen and it's just lovely. I highly recommend it. As for the disc, it's just fine. I'm not a big fan of Ultraviolet digital copies, but oh well.

I love how the characters connect among each other. They offer a great idea of what they feel towards that character. And you too feel that way towards them too.

Everything good you heard about this film is true. Ralph Feinnes heads large cast that shines in this tale about what happened in a old hotel. Another winner from Wes Anderson with a great Oscar-winning score by Alexandre Desplat among the other awards.

If you like Wes Anderson, this movie is for you. If you don't, then run away. The Grand Budapest Hotel is one of the more Anderson-ian films in his catalog. The Blu-ray picture quality is stunning, the extra features are pretty good, and the sound is flawless.

A bittersweet, humorous and clever story about a young bellhop, wily concierge and a motley crew of supporting cast, any fan of Wes Anderson will enjoy the quirky and unique style of the film.

I purchased this movie as a gift for a friend. I watched this in the theaters and enjoyed it. The director is extremely gifted with the use of colors and themes throughout the movie. I would definitely recommend this film to a friend.
