This is a horrible 4k production. Tge picture was almost VHS lack of quality. I will try exchanging it but had to end the movie 15 minutes into it. Bad quality 4K

One of my all time favorite movies. I really can't think of anything wrong here. The cast is perfect. Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, James coburn, Charles Bronson, and Donald Pleasence all in one movie! The story is great and based on a true story. The soundtrack is great as well and helps bring out some of the humor. This single disc dvd has a nice documentary about the film and not much else. For me, that was plenty, but if you're really into bonus material there is a 2 disc edition as well.

One of the greatest war films of all time. Based on the true story about the daring escape of POWs from Stalag Luft III. The motorcycle chase with Steve McQueen is awesome. The picture quality was not as bad as initial reviews stated. It could have been better but it is a major improvement over the DVD. The abundant extras are worth the price alone.

Allied soldiers are imprisoned in a German camp in World War II and they plan on escaping the camp. A group of men use their expertise in making the escape possible which includes the digging of three underground tunnels. When the day to escape arrives, not everyone successfully escaped. In fact, those that did escape were either captured to return to the camp or were killed. Only a few escaped being detected by the Germans. I enjoyed this film. It really is a World War II classic. Unfortunately, the picture of the film looked like watching a DVD. It really is too bad for this classic.

I remember seeing this movie at the drive in and thought I would buy it. I have a Sony DVD recorder and it has played all movies I have bought except this one. Could be how its been recorded to a disc. Its a great movie but only plays on certain macines.

The Great Escape is an all time classic. A great story with a great cast. The blu ray transfer is outstanding. If you liked this movie on TV, you'll be amazed by it on blu ray. Recommend highly.

This DVD is a superbly recorded Blu-ray of a classic WWII adventure, featuring an ensemble of many of the finest male actors of the '60s.I first saw it on the big screen as a pre-teen.

If you like an intense story line with a lot of action and drama, this is the movie for you. It has an all-star cast, excitement, sadness, history and elation all at once.

I have enjoyed The Great Escape for years. It's fantastic cast and the fact that it's based on actual events make it a must-see for any Baby Boomer.

It was the next best war movie to THE LONGEST DAY. Where, some of the POWs escaped to Freedom. We liked the Steve McQueen motor bike ride. The Charles Bronson tunnelling.

Great movie about guys that just didn't give up, and to think this actually happened. The background music in this movie is really good.

I love war movies and this is one of the best! Every actor is great in this real war story. A must see!

This is awesome on BluRay. A classic movie that only gets better as video quality improves.

Excellent film taken from actual events of a real escape during the 2nd World War.. Problem is MGM/Fox dropped the ball on this release. Video - Washed out colors, soft image with no definition to be found anywhere which leaves me to believe some type of filter was used it appears that all grain is missing and faces and detail look smoothed of any fine detail. It's watchable but you will not be in awe of it or enjoy its near VHS like appearance. Audio - Average and you will notice right away that when the strong musical score kicks in you will be turning your volume up & down during dialog the surge is very apparent. Extras - Some very nice supplements are added to this single disc and will answer a lot of film background questions with real interviews of the men behind the actual escape. My recommendation is at $4.99 it's a buy but go any higher than that and I would pass knowing that this blu-ray image is not even close to high definition. Over-all product rating based on Blu-ray video & sound quality.

It has speed, chase scenes, and attitude. Couldn't be better.

Not really, but it's a classic-great movie... I would reccommend to anybody.
