Ever pondered why a culture would toil and invest hundreds of years and vast amounts of treasure to construct what will probably forever remain the greatest architectural accomplishment of mankind? Of course, there are historic accounts of invasions by hoards of barbarians. But, what if many other 'inhuman' attempts were endured as composites of horrors and the inexplicable, so far beyond the boundaries of the human psyche, they remain oral lore. Unbelievable cinematics and the colors, oh my! A no-brainer in my opinion!!

This movie is about some mercenaries who go to China looking for gunpowder. The two who survive wind up at the Great Wall in time to help the Chinese fight a horde of horrible monsters. The plot is simple but the special effects and action keep you watching the movie.

Watching this movie on my 4K TV was awesome. I would highly recommend buying this movie.

Had already seen and watching in 4k brings out the color and the sound quality is good.

Alot of action and suspense leading up to "what they are trying to keep out" . Beautiful views of the wall and a magnificent structure to behold.

Really different type movie. Lots of special effects, different creatures and a good story. If you like sci-fi you'll almost assured like this.

This movie has great video images, true 4k uhd with HDR and Dolby atmos audio.

I purchased this based on the Dolby Atmos review's. This movie has a great Atmos setup and the picture looked great. I enjoyed watching the movie

I love this movie and I especially love that the women are portrayed as warriors too. Very empowering movie and sound effects are incredible.

if you like ancient chinese technology, great action scenes, this is a movie for you

Absolutely surreal. I can see why it might not have made a splash in the theater, cause I sure don't remember it. The film quality is top notch and the acting was fair, but the story line is lacking. Still if you are a fan of historical fiction, action, sci-fi, and monster flicks; this movie has it all, and is really fun to watch.

It is an overblown full out rediculous action picture. If that's all you want in a movie, well THE GREAT WALL has got exactly what you're looking for. Bravery, ingenuity, good looks and common sense is all you need to stand up to rabid monsters and win the gratitude of The Ancient Chinese Empire. Check your brain out when you put that bluray in and you'll have one heck of a fun ride.

Good movie. Love all the colors. It definitely makes the wall the center focus point. We watch it regularly.

This was actually better than I though. I enjoyed the world and characters, though Matt Damon's accent was a little surprising. The effects were pretty decent and the monster designs were unique. This is one of my first 4K films so I am still in awe every time I watch one.

Great action movies. I can’t recommend this movie enough to people like lots of action and great special effects. Very cool music also.

If you like Chinese warfare and sci-fi stuff, this is your movie. It was decent.
