A very entertaining movie, with a beautiful look, but lacks believibility. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it a lot and would recommend it highly to those who like action, but are not too critical when it comes to suspending realism.

Weird seeing Matt Damon in a Chinese theme flick. But the action and visuals were good. Some of the acting was dry but did not detract from the story. Not a believable plot but a nice film for those looking for action.

Not my favorite Matt Damon movie, for sure but still entertaining. Hey, you have to take chances. Some time they really work, other times they are just not at the same high level. The latter is the case with this mivie

Didn’t like the idea of a great white knight coming to save the Great Wall of China. Other than that it was a pretty straight forward movie. 4K makes it more enjoyable.

This movie is a must see on a bigger tv. The colors and the efects are very bold. Ancient China is presented in its anceint glory, that was way ahead of the west. Glad I own a copy, I watched several times and will watch more.

This is an entertaining film and well worth the money. The plot includes alien invaders/monsters, like season 6 of Game of Thrones. If you like action movies with a little history (Chinese) thrown in, buy this film.

My son and I enjoyed this movie because it was not super scary and had a good moral to it. This was a new twist on why China build the great wall. Stoy of finding purpose in life and a great reason to do the right thing

I've always enjoyed Matt Damon films, and this one doesn't disappoint. There's humor, great CGI effects, and scenery. The plot is okay but the character acting is better than average.

Overall a decent, not great, movie with good special effects, and very colorful costumes that brighten up the movie, so visually its pretty good which is why I bought it, and because it was selling at a good price.

In my opinion,Matt Damon delivered on this action movie,well made, plot was easy to follow,cast worked well together and was enjoyable from beginning to end.Pleased this is in my collection and is a go to movie when I want entertainment for awhile,like I have a digital copy too so I can watch it anywhere.

Set your expectation right, then this movie won't be so bad. I've read about the negative reviews. it is a fiction flick, so keep that in mind. Other than that, good CG work and with Matt in it, it is worth a watch.

This movie has a great story and the special effects are super. The story is very good and the acting is brilliant. The actors are engaging and keep you engaged. The movie is a must have for those who like action fantasy, I would highly recommend this movie.

Faced with a blind purchase I decided to save myself a few dollars, so I bought the blu-ray. after seeing it I admit that it is not the best movie, but the images and the audio deserve a 4k version.

We got this movie thinking it would be hilariously bad. But surprisingly we loved it. It was full of action and suspence. My wife jumped a bunch! It had some good humor. And if you are into video games like final fantasy you will love it. It really had a manga mixed with medieval times feel to it.

Amazing movie. They could have cast unknown actors and it still would be awesome because it is the visuals and action scenes that make this movie the surprise of the year. A shame it performed so poorly at the box office, but pick this up if you want an easily watchable and spectacular action movie.

Visually spectacular in regards to the color, contrast and presentation. The sound quality of the audio mix is truly reference level and I'm sure this movie will be utilized in many a home theater to show off :).

I seen this movie at the theater, & so I bought for my kids at work to check out! The process of buying it at Best Buy was great overall, with so much ease! Excellent movie & a different take on the Great Wall.

When my husband first asked me to watch this movie with him I thought "Um, no. It just looks weird." It turned out to be pretty good. It had an original plot line with some twists and turns I didn't expect.

If you're familiar with Zhang Yimou's other films, you know what to expect. You will not be disappointed. Entertaining special FX extravaganza. Pure escapism. The creatures are apparently based on real Chinese folklore. Not as martial arts laden as his previous films, but that's not a bad thing.

It's a Good Friday Night movie. Pretty well done, but a little over the top... with a few shooters of Patron and some friends it is entertainment for the night.
