So much action and drama so glad we bought this to watch.

Saw this in the theater as well. Some complained that it was "white man to the rescue" film. I don't agree with that assessment. First, it's visually stunning. Terrific use of color, design imagination. Story was interesting and kept you engaged. Well acted, although Damon is a tad dry. His characters development, as is the case for most of the characters is slow and not terribly deep. But who really cares it's a sticking action movie with lots of interesting stuff happening. Solid direction by same director who did house of the flying daggers and other visually stunning productions. Good fun.

Characters were interesting, production set-up was ok, but it’s a classic example of TOO MUCH CGI ruining any believability in the story line, even in over-the-top fantasy/adventure.

The Great Wall (of China) takes place in ancient China but with a Sci-Fi twist on the real reason they built the wall. This movie had excellent action throughout the movie.

The story is just ok. But I got it for the 4K experience. Great colors and graphics. I only buy movies I think would be 4K worthy.

This is one of the best visually on par with Avatar movies. Dont watch it if you want a great storyline. Action is the main theme of this flick that happens to throw in Matt Damon so that the studio can market this movie in the states.

This movie it's like jason Bourne in ancient china

I did enjoy it his movie,especially the incredible special effects. I wish the character development was better but over all it was a great action movie.

I heard quite a number of reviews and also discussion articles referring to the makers of this film (who are chinese) whitewashing by casting Matt Damon and Wilem Dafoe. I feel that quite honestly these people didn't see the movie, or they were just slamming it to further their political agendas. This movie was enjoyable and the reasons for the presence of the white men in China was totally plausible. Quite honestly, I enjoyed it more because the English speaking actors were speaking English because that was their native tongue and they were familiar to me.

This is one of the best looking 4k movies I have purchased. The movie is visually beautiful. As a movie, it's meh. The reviews when this movie came out were accurate, gaping plot holes, stiff acting, visually striking. The movie has about 30 minutes worth of plot and the rest is overlong shots of colorful soldiers running around or huge numbers of monsters milling about. If you accept the movie's flaws or enjoyed it in theaters, the 4k disc itself is worth owning.
