If you can get past the blaring discrepancy between the period of the story and the style of the music (modern pop), then there is a heart-felt story told and performed by people who were clearly passionate about what they were doing.

I felt like this film got a little overhyped. I enjoyed it, love the music, set design, choreography, but the story left much to be desired. The steelbook is pretty cool and it came with a free $5 giftcard to Best Buy so I'm not mad about it.

SPOILER ALERT! Good movie if you like musicals. I was just a little disappointed that they never explained where Bailey came into the partnership. I was starting to wonder if it was Zack Efron's character but they never explained it.
