If you can get past the blaring discrepancy between the period of the story and the style of the music (modern pop), then there is a heart-felt story told and performed by people who were clearly passionate about what they were doing.

SPOILER ALERT! Good movie if you like musicals. I was just a little disappointed that they never explained where Bailey came into the partnership. I was starting to wonder if it was Zack Efron's character but they never explained it.
